Some of the figures and contract lengths mentioned in this article are incredible. A £30 million gap to make up the summer! I suppose its worth remembering that we endured a similar process with Slade and the cost cutting that followed our relegation but I'm not sure we even this ****ed?

The numbers / ratios were quoted to swans fans a number of times. The %age of revenue spent on wages, the %age of revenue that was tv money. It was always an inverted pyramid in terms of stability. I think Jenkins knew that and for him, bailed just in time.
I've been on their board a few times and can sympathise with their fans.
Unfortunately, poor management in the last two years has put them in a difficult position.
Many of their fans recognise the hole they are in.
Some naively think the parachute payments should be spent on a promotion charge not realising the parachute payments are what is making the situation better than It would otherwise be.
Yet others think there is money being siphoned out to the states, either to dc United or to the yanks pockets.
I genuinely feel for the majority of the fans, though some are deluding themselves while others, after rubbing our noses in it with a holier than though attitude are conspicuous by their absence now it is they in the financial hole, not us.
I hope the club can be stabilised before it falls any further, we've seen newport claw their way back and Wrexham could get back into the national leagues.
We could do without another Welsh club falling on hard times.
Scary looking st some of the salaries they are still having to pay and the fact there is a year or two to run on some of them.
I wonder what will happen to stoke in the closed season given they tried to spend their way back to the prem and have failed abismally.
Hope udders have relegation clauses with some of their players as well.
