I was at the Arsenal v Spurs game in 2001 at Highbury when he was about to become Spurs manager, the Arsenal fans were giving him **** from the first minute as he was in the stands. We beat them 2-0 and the whole stadium were asking him 'Hoddle, what's the score ?'.

LeTiss won nothing, but he was the most extravagantly gifted English player, probably ever. That is an indisputable fact (though I expect you’ll still dispute it). It’s not always about winning trophies. If it was, everyone would support the same half dozen clubs. Sometimes it’s about witnessing someone do the impossible, and make a whole stadium, both sets of fans, wonder wtf they’ve just witnessed. LeTiss could do that week after week. Hoddle and Gascoigne are the only two Englishmen who came close, imo. Scholes, Lampard, Gerard, where all great players; but not in that class, not quite.
