I saw Hoddle play. Second best English player I’ve seen, after MLT.

Did they wheel Chivers out for that legends parade? Bet they did.

Ardiles must have been there, what about Ricky Villa? I noticed there was a huge picture of that pair on one of the panels round the old ground, just before they pulled it down. I took a photo at the time, would post it on here but it’s on my other phone.

He was a phenomenal player. His vision and passing range were unsurpassed.

He was doing a pretty good job with England when he made those wacky remarks and got himself fired.

Do you mean wheeled Greaves? If so no, I think it was around this point where he’d just suffered the stroke or was in recovery for it. Chivers was there though, in good health. Yeah Ossie and Ricky were both there too.

Not that I think it’d really be of much interest to you (or other non-Spurs fans) but this was the whole thing. Legends come out from 8:30 onwards.

After viewing replays, UEFA said the referee awarded the spot-kick against PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe because "his arm was not close to his body" when Diogo Dalot's shot struck it. Following the on-field review, the referee confirmed that the distance that the ball travelled was not short and the impact could therefore not be unexpected. The defender's arm was not close to the body, which made the defender's body bigger thus resulting in the ball being stopped from travelling in the direction of the goal. The referee, therefore, awarded a penalty kick." a UEFA statement said.

Guidance from UEFA referee's chief Roberto Rosetti appeared to be consistent with Skomina's decision, as he advised officials in January that "if the defender is making the body bigger to block the ball it is not fair".

Football's law-making body the International Football Association Board (IFAB) moved to clarify the interpretation of handball at its annual general meeting last weekend. Its position is that if the ball strikes a player's arm when it is extended beyond the body's "natural silhouette" then a penalty should be awarded.

Tbf the decision based on the rules was correct, but equally important, the use of VAR was also correct.

It’s highly unlikely that Ole will be screaming in ref’s faces any time soon mate, he’s not really prone to a homoerotic meltdown like tubby pooch is.

Oh what a surprise, NSIS thinks man who won next to nothing is better than man that won everything multiple times, because he just was.

I was at the Arsenal v Spurs game in 2001 at Highbury when he was about to become Spurs manager, the Arsenal fans were giving him **** from the first minute as he was in the stands. We beat them 2-0 and the whole stadium were asking him 'Hoddle, what's the score ?'.

Yeah, tbf he didn’t do much wrong football wise, as England manager. Should have kept some of his weird ideas to himself, but not sure he deserved the sack.

LeTiss won nothing, but he was the most extravagantly gifted English player, probably ever. That is an indisputable fact (though I expect you’ll still dispute it).

It’s not always about winning trophies. If it was, everyone would support the same half dozen clubs. Sometimes it’s about witnessing someone do the impossible, and make a whole stadium, both sets of fans, wonder wtf they’ve just witnessed. LeTiss could do that week after week.

Hoddle and Gascoigne are the only two Englishmen who came close, imo. Scholes, Lampard, Gerard, where all great players; but not in that class, not quite.

Good to see fifa denying Chelsea their appeal request.

Top 10 might be an issue for them next season.
