  2. Sadly, I fear you are right, mate.

I'm actually gaining a little bit of respect for United and Little Ollie.

At least they have some real fight in them.

Thinking about Arsenal... I need another shower.

I'm all good though bro <cheers>

I'm sure Phelean is the biggest factor in the Utd resurgence. Ollie is just the face of it.

Fair play to them though as it seems they've finally found the right formula, whatever that might be!

Yeah it must be Phelan, remember when he took Hull to the Champions League Final.

Quite clearly it’s the players who are the biggest factor, not having to all play DM anymore, who’d have guessed!

    I think it’s a combination of both.

Fergie’s coaches didn’t go on to be great managers probably because they were great coaches but **** front men.

Phelan is clearly doing something right on the training ground and Olegend has got the players buzzing and believing.

There’s no doubt that he’s getting advice from Fergie and using some of his methods. Not a bad way to go about things.

Hopefully it continues as the last few years have been so depressing watching negative managers play negative football.

  8. I wouldn’t be surprised if Little Ollie has been studying Poch’s methods.

Poch is good at making a corned beef hash of things.

I’m here all week, try the lager, it’s bottled.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think there’s something very punchable about little Ole Goody Two-Shoes. Something of the annoying school swot about the bloke.

I understand why, after Moyes, that weird looking potato faced Dutchman, and the Sneering One, Man U fans think he’s the second coming; the media love-in is all a bit embarrassing though. It won’t be long before his new pals are stealing his dinner money and attaching notes saying “kick me” to the back of his blazer.

Interesting, I think the media are underplaying it. Especially football pundits who are ex-players. After 17 games they still put it down to "the feel good factor" without being complimentary of anything else of note - very little mention of any tactics or coaching. I prefer it that way tbh, we don't need anyone bigging him up too much.

Above all, what Ole's tenure has shown is what that squad, those players, are capable of with a decent manager who actually enjoys managing. Go figure.
