No but it's an interesting one. When they first brought it into rugby league you'd have a situation where they were only seeing if the ball was grounded. The video would show a forward pass or an illegal challenege in the nbuild up and they weren't allowed to do anything about that. Great fun when it's played out in front of a full house.

My guess, for the very little it's worth, would be that they wouldn't check the free kick award on the basis that the decision to award the free kick had already been made.
Really? Seems a bit odd that they can't review any.

Yeah I know mate but it makes a bit of a mockery of var's supposedly big selling point.

Nothing to do with match days but seeing as we're talking about Champions League, I'm pleased to AC Milan have just got themselves into a qualifying spot. I would be very happy to see them back in the CL next season - great European club.

Interfering with play is black and white and not subjective? <confused>

I think that's a **** rule anyway. Even the bloke stood 5 feet away walking onside scratching his arse is interefering. As a defender in that instant, your positional calculation takes that man into consideration as you do not know what the ref will give and that affects your play.

Scrap it

Agreed - you have 2 separate events - you'd only review the free kick for something like 'moving ball' ....<cheers>

You're a 60 year old man who thinks it's humorous to turn a username into a dinosaur ffs.

You'll be drowning in your own piss in just over a decade still making ****ty jokes from the 70s.

I didn't really turn it into a dinosaur, you humourless ****... t'was just words ... I'm not a ****ing wizard ...<laugh>

In 1965 the first substitute was allowed in English footie.

The concept had been vehemently opposed in parts of Hampshire.

"Where will it end? They won't stop at one each. Soon they will want 3 or more per side!. Just think of the disruption and delay. Fans won't know which horse drawn tram to catch home. Why can't we just keep it how it is? If a player collapses, injuted, just leave them there and play around them like we used to do in the good old days! This is going to ruin the game, I tell thee!" <laugh>

VAR, once properly integrated will sort out the vast majority of decisions very quickly.

As for offside, I think it’s still very much black or white. Yes there’s the odd decision that is so close that it’s a tough call either way, but most are pretty simple.

You mean like when Harry was offside against us in the league cup semi? Var didn't get that right lol
