Based on what? He's scored 3 goals since the window shut. That's exactly the same as Diedhiou. I know it's not perfect logic but if we'd put him in as a direct replacement we'd be in exactly the same position as we are now
Did you not say that about Taylor?....Doesn't always work out that way, even if it looks good on paper.......he might even be a character that disrupts the changing rooms, so might even be a negative!!!
Taylor was not proven in the championship though,i still think Taylor will come good he has a great football brain just needs to score more regular.
Regardless of proven goal scorer in the championship. You said he would be and kept on about it. You also do realise we’ve only lost twice and drawn once since window shut. So going on your logic are you saying we would of won all those games if we signed Assombalonga?
Certainly think more goals would have been scored which in turn means possibly more points on the board.
He won't until we are in a relegation fight with LJ, there's a couple more that's kept away I've noticed!! Next time we go on a losing streak they'll be back, "saying i told you so"!!
I can assure you he visits us most days he just doesn't feel the need to respond , in fact I've just checked and he was with us a few minutes ago.
Wiz supporting his other LJ hater, like Onefor said he's got nothing to say at the moment long may it continue
I actually like to hear an opposing view and have enjoyed some of the debates with RP over the years. It was RP who predicted that LJ would become our manager - only just after he (LJ) retired as a player.
Nice to be missed by some on here - Mum used to tell Dad you could get used to toothache in the end. I do watch on here occasionally just for old times sake but the truth is I don't watch City now so don't really feel able to comment. Have to say I was incredulous about Wright and Watkins selection at Norwich, I wouldn't select those two for Paulton. Other than that Johnson has done really well. Good luck to BCFC. ps - To all you left wing 'remainers' who have joined up with the Establishment, relax, it looks like you've made sure Brexit won't happen. Wedgie Benn will be turning in his grave.
‘Left Wing Remainers’ - that must mean May, or perhaps Branson? Heseltine maybe? There is a separate Brexit thread if you care to contribute - which actually has not descended into a slanging match and been shut down!!!! Brexit isn’t either left or right wing - that’s something our politicians haven’t grasped even now.
Bloody hell RP. that is one big toothache mate! Have missed your comments, honestly! Is it possible that part of you thinks LJ is actually doing quite a good job, without bringing up the dreaded finances debate? Hope you are keeping well mate!!
I disagree. The point I was trying to make is about 'left wingers' changing their view on the EU for political reasons. That's why I mentioned one of my early political heroes - Wedgie Benn. The Tory 'grandees' you mention like Lord Heseltine have not and will never change their view. The Labour 'north', who have many MPs voted to leave in large numbers and haven't changed their minds. The Labour Leadership, Corbyn and co, have changed their minds just for political gain. Parliament is going round in circles trying to stop Brexit, and sorry to say they will succeed. ps - Sure LJ will have plans for Luke Ayling today. Decent going forward but a useless defender.
Nice to see RP back now we can have some proper debates, we may even include how well our young coach is doing even though at one time on our bad run I gave him a couple of games to turn it round, its a funny old game for sure.
And you wonder why we struggle to score goals,we need a furking striker that can hit the onion bag. Fammy ain’t the answer what a miss hit the ball first time and a goal was there.
I do agree Fammy should have done better there, but our problems today were far more embedded in midfield than up front. We attacked almost exclusively down the left wing and Leeds knew this and compacted us. As soon as we brought it into the middle, as we did many times, the players had zero options to pass, Leeds were so good at blocking the passing lanes and nullifying our threats. If I was LJ I would have put 3 in midfield and allowed ourselves a chance to pass our way out of it and to create further chances, but then again I'm not a football manager.
Our midfield had a shocker, Brownhill and especially Pack were awful, didn't deserve anything from today and really disappointed with that performance, I was expecting us to give them a good game
