Took my kids to PPW. They loved it. Although we live about an hour away.
My kids are now at an age where I wish I could do that stuff again so my old man advice is make the most of it with your little one Tel.
Tbf I was gonna drive to Drayton Manor to take my boy to Thomas Land but he suddenly went off trains n got into dinosaurs.
Result.
Yeah my boy loved it too, will probably take him again this year when the weather gets better.
We used to go to Crystal Palace park when I was a kid to see the dinosaurs. They are basically these concrete sculptures covered in algae that date back to around 1850. Pretty **** by today's standards.
Take him to Dan Yr Ogof in the Brecon Beacons .. Welsh show caves that also have a pretty good dinosaur display ... could combine with pony trekking which is nearby ... and if you go for a weekend, the Gower peninsula is only half an hour away

Watch out he doesn't fall in love with one of them over there. I spent 3 days there walking around the windows and fell in love at least 30 times, the women are incredible until you realise that Sweaty McFatfuck has just had a go on her 5 minutes before you see her
