Hi Sgt - welcome home and hooe you had a great time? I used to have an office in Athens for 3 years, so know it quite well. With ye tomorrow re us v the Argentine. By the way, my new picture is ME drinking champagne out of th RU World Cup at 35,000 ft in a Boeing 747 in 1991 the day after Australia beat us in the world cup final at Twickenham!! I am going to keep it on here until we beat NZ in the final. Nice first game back Sgt against Liverpool!
Had a great time yes mate, saw the Acropolis, Byzantine, Archaelogical Museum, Acropolis Museum. Sadly though, when we were going round the Acropolis last Saturday, my camera was strapped round my neck in its case, but then somehow the camera came apart from the strap and fell to the floor. I thought the case would give it some protection but somehow the lens got scratched so didn't get as many photos I would've liked. Went to the coast yesterday, and would've got some great pictures there, it was really picturesque, plus there was a protest next to Syntagma Square and I would've loved a picture of that, must have been a few hundred people protesting at least. Yeh mate looking forward to tomorrow. Will be nice to see the old man as well, as he goes on holiday himself as well soon.
Sgt I remember having a coffee in a taverna on Syntagma Sq and I said to this Greek guy - you are very lucky to be living amongst all of these fabulous ruins, he replied - Ruins No - we have not finished building then yet!!
