Indeed, I do, Pix. Those words are clearly a plea to Daniel Levy to extend his contract for another six or so years, so that he has time to get the job done. Extend his contract, I say, and let Poch keep kissing that badge.
Or they are an admission that it would take an entire decade to win the league and he’ll **** off well before then.
Of course, he will, He's been with that pile of **** now for the best side of five years and steered their best team in three decades to **** all. Now all the wheels are coming off again at the merest sniff of silverware he realises, at last, his job is finished at Bottling Totterers.
He wants to become so disillusioned by your fans that he quits not only Tottenham but football entirely, then fall out with the club and be refused a testimonial? I'd have thought he'd want to go somewhere he can win stuff and then do that instead. Oh well, who knew?
It was definitely you who made the comparison. To answer your question: Going somewhere else to win stuff? Yeah I have zero doubt he will but in fairness not for another year or (more likely) two/three. The rest of it, no of course I don't, I was just pointing out that there were also negatives to the Nicholson story. Pochettino isn't emotionally invested in the club in the way Nicholson was so it's not comparable.
Maybe. It's not like I'm talking about my own club here, 90% of my knowledge of pre-Italia '90 football is from internet sources.
Most of HIAG's knowledge of football is from the BBC gossip column. He wouldn't know that about Nicholson, and he wouldn't know that Nicholson is also infamous for his glorifying failure comment.
