I know it's a common joke about poor atmosphere at the Emirates but I really can't emphasise how dreadful it was yesterday. Even when they score it doesn't sound like 57,000 cheering, very much a polite applause ground.

Think the ground is poorly designed as well, too far from the pitch and the stand is nowhere near steep enough. Couldn't see **** all at the other end of the pitch even in row 18.

Not buying that about the stadium design, the sight lines are great wherever you're sitting at the Emirates. The atmosphere does suffer against the smaller teams though I agree.

I don't think the lower tier is steep enough, means your further from the pitch and I disagree about the sight lines too especially for such an expensive and newish stadium.
