It's all relative ellers to what one does in life, wouldn't you agree? Materials go up, then that price gets passed on to the customer. You may laugh that I said plasterboard as it probably (I don't know) doesnt effect your life or living. The cheapest we get are from Germany but with the uncertainty of Brexit, stock may be hard to come by.

Why do I need to seek help Turkish. It's a fact that it's gone up, simple as that due to stock and supply. Gloss that anyway that suits you fella, but it's a FACT

I find it really strange that people laugh and dismiss something that has actually happened. It may not be relative to their every day life so therefore doesnt effect them at all, but to dismiss it and then say prices have been going up for the past 5 years is just pure ignorance. Anyway, it's happened. Wont be the first I'm sure and definitely wont be the last. Onwards and downwards guys.

That reporter is obviously stupid then, why would anyone blame snow on the EU, we don't import/export it, put tariffs on it or have it come through customs checks!

So then you have answered my question in that it has been going up. However you will find that's its been going up for more than 2 years.
Was everything cheap 2 years ago? <doh>

Funny you should say that because I had an extension on my house and know exactly what the prices were because I did all the calculations. Plasterboard was cheaper 2 years ago but cheaper 2 years before that and a year before that.....

Though doubtless many will be happy to claim any future good news for Brexit.

Perhaps Brexit is just irrelevant, it won’t have any impact either way. Perhaps it’s all a dream, like a series of Dallas. Who shot J R (M)?

They said she was closer to accepting staying in the Customs Union a couple of hours ago. She just agrees with whatever the person she is talking to thinks, goes away and does nothing, in the hope that Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy will turn up with an answer.

mmm, funnily I heard yesterday on TV from a very good reporter that he felt she was aiming for a no deal. It's the first time he said anything like this.
Just to add fuel to the fire, yesterday the ERG and a cross party lot got together and had a meeting re no deal and they all came out joking and smiling.
Think about it.... Fox and Swiss trade deal, Leadsom on news saying we can manage a no deal, Brexiteers keeping quiet and all these new reports coming in regarding managing it.
Better get your baked beans and plasterboard in.

I’ve got a load of surplus plasterboard in my garage Bob, if you want it.

I also have 31,612 cardboard boxes, all packaging from stuff my wife and daughter get delivered to the front door, 3 bikes that haven’t been ridden for nearly 10 years, a variety of defunct power tools, several half eaten dog baskets, 15.5 pairs of wellies, 508 plant pots, a sack of cement, 25 ft of wood that was going to be skirting boards but no longer required, 75 nearly empty tins of paint for touching up paintwork that we had two houses ago, and a full set of cricket kit (helmet, pads, gloves) for a twelve year old. And that’s just the stuff I can actually see when I steel myself to look in there. Anyone who is prepared to take it away can have the lot. Or I’ll get that Japanese lady in to fold it away neatly.

Haha ha hilarious, believe me, you don't get the prices at what the trades get it at . Oh dear. Listen, you said it's been going up for 5 years, it's not, you're wrong. Simples. Prices have fluctuated up and down for years but this is big increase.
