Jeez, I get wanting to maybe stop us winning but there is real passion in that
I've always said it's what separates Liverpool and Everton fans. Yes there are reds who hope Everton lose every game but generally speaking we would wish Everton good luck in cup finals etc. that we weren't involved in.

I'll never understand this mentality. I don't give a **** what other teams are up to, only interested in Liverpool FC.

I only watch Liverpool these days so I don't know what goes on with other clubs unless I actively seek out any news. I do have a FF team though so get to know which players have done well in a particular week.

Going to lengths this lad has in writing an article for a national rag is a bit extreme.

..... but not surprising <laugh>

I get what you’re saying but that’s probably because we’ve won cups and leagues more recently. If we hadn’t won anything for 30 years and Everton won a few things I think we’d be in same situation and not cheering them on.

You're right. But I think the original jealousy has turned to hatred. It's not helped by them constantly looking at us in stead of concentrating on themselves. Made worse when even the club CEO is coming out with stuff like she did when the owner bought a share of the Liver Building and she claimed 'now the city is well and truly ours'.

They just need a good relegation and financial crisis to give them perspective.

Useless ****s par for the course last night <grr>

They were so controlled. class.

Made sure they couldn't win by some bizarre accident by benching their best players

Then sat there and acted like 0-2 was a good result for them by keeping score down nd only making sure to let city walk in late in both halves.

IF they are that good as controlled a game you'd wonder why they can't then apply that to actually winning

;)

I expect everton players to play like its a world cup and cl final combined against us then down tools for the year.

That's the way it'll go, for sure.

I wouldn't like to see them relegated but I would like to see them do things to better themselves rather than always having one eye on us.

I didn't know until I just read that they 'rested' their best players last night. <laugh> The players, manager and high-ups in the club are so afraid of the fans that they're actually doing stuff like this to appease them. Small time or what.

They are more likely to win against Watford than city so it makes sense to rest players in periods of heavy fixtures.

I really don't care what befalls them but for their own sake having a break out of the mentality that as you say, do it for yourself don't be looking over here all the time and whining.

I think they "dropped" coleman alright cos he's been poor but they have one decent play up front and thats richarldson really. they benched him so what does that say... oh a rest? cmon... I know they've been busy losing in fa cup, losing to watford and winning barely v huddersfield and its been game after game... but there you go.

the reality is the line up wasn't terrible but they did out calvert lewin and davies in as their attack threat with the ineffective walcott (who they didn't rest)

the only thing they assured was the duck egg in their won score column by doing that.

watford
cardiff
LFC

they don't even care about the first two games. they've enough to be safe in 9th and can't risk getting into europa when city win both cups so 7th is out (5points awy)

I full expect them to turn in a world class game against us then go on strike as players til may.

I'd actually be shocked if they stay top half

Liecester should push them out honestly.
