Lol.... yeah... pub or arse tv this week hmmmm. I have bile acid malabsorbtion hence the colon cam and reflux with Barrets Oesophagus so they do a check every two years to make sure it isn't turning malignant ...
So, potentially found s house we liked at weekend. Thinking about putting offer in, only issues is mine only going on market on Tuesday so very early stages of selling mine. Could be an issue if can’t get mine shifted and the others want to move things quickly (if they even accept our offer and no one else is interested)
That’s the only reason anyone talks to me on here, scared you’ll forget who I am if you don’t have that stick to beat me with
Now you're going to become boring suburbanite. You're losing your thing. It's like if I moved back to England, RHC wouldn't know how to insult me anymore.
I get the feeling he’ll still call you a septic and he’ll still make gay jokes aimed at me. I can’t think moving is going to alter his opinion in things too much!
that works both ways though, they bid low and gets accepted they would probably have to consider low offers as well to get deal done quickly. and might lose a bit of value as a result.
My advice would be to stop looking at houses until you've sold. Missing out can be very depressing so don't put yourself through it. We were fortunate; the house we missed out on was still available a year later. Got it for £5k less too. But initially we very down about it. If you get a offer accepted, they won't take it off the market. They'll keep their options open because you've not sold yours.
Well mines going on market tomorrow, they generally sell quite quickly, 2 bed flat in nice area at reasonable price. Perfect for first time buyers so in hopeful. Yeah it is the only issue but the one we like they’ve already found somewhere as well so in theory in similar situation.
Mine sold within six days both times it went on the market. Obviously, it fell through the first time, it was on the market for a year after that before I took it off over Christmas and tried again in the new year
Yeah have to see how it goes. Put the offer in earlier, knocked 15k off the asking price. See what they say. Only just reduced it in value so not expecting them to say yes though, but obv keen to sell asap
Always be a cheeky **** to start with mate. Worse case scenario is they say no. They'll have a figure in mind, it's just a case of tempting them to go a bit lower
Yeah 15k isn’t too bad. Don’t want them to think wasting time but it’s close enough to asking price. Gives bit of wiggle room to go up and maybe meet half way.
I offered £85k for my house initially, it was up for £110k (Originally put on the market at £125k). Settled at £105k before the sale of my old house fell through. A year later (when I'd got a extra £5k for mine) it had been reduced again to £105k. I opened negotiations at £90k and got it for £100k. Worth at least £140k now I've revamp the entire house though
When did you buy it? House prices are dirt there compared to down this way my flat was 194k when I brought it 4 years ago, now on market for 250-260 (hoping to get higher obv) and new place looking at is on for 325k lol
My first house... After 4 years of mortgage, I still owed more on it than the house was worth... I had to write a cheque to sell my house. (Market collapsed and neighbourhood got taken over by rentals). My second house... It's taken 10+ years but finally its worth more than I owe on it. Again, market collapsed right after I bought. I've not had good luck with house prices. Going up isnt a guarantee over here.
