Bristol City v Swansea City Competition - Sky Bet Championship Date - 2 February 2019 Kick off - 3pm Venue - Ashton Gate After their hard fought 3-3 at home to Birmingham City, next up for Graham Potter’s Swansea squad is the short trip to Ashton Gate to play Bristol City. Against Brum, ten-man Birmingham twice fought back from behind but were denied victory at Swansea by Oli McBurnie in injury time. Daniel James fired the hosts in front before Jacques Maghoma equalised. Birmingham's Kristian Pederson was sent off late in the first half and McBurnie restored Swansea's lead. Calamitous keeping from Erwin Mulder allowed Michael Morrison to level and Che Adams' superb strike put the visitors ahead before McBurnie's last-ditch effort. While McBurnie's late leveller sparked ecstatic celebrations among the hitherto frustrated home fans, it was a cruel blow for a Blues side who had battled admirably with 10 men. The point keeps Swansea 11th in the Championship table - five points behind the play-off places - one position and a single point ahead of Birmingham. Last weekend, Bristol City came from behind to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since 2000-01 with victory over Championship strugglers Bolton. Niclas Eliasson decided the tie with a sublime individual goal, cutting in from the right before unleashing an effort into the top corner. Defender Mark Beevers had converted from Luca Connell's pinpoint cross to put Bolton ahead after six minutes. But Callum O'Dowda levelled the contest for the hosts two minutes later. The Republic of Ireland international did well to control Eliasson's ball with his chest before firing into the bottom corner. The Robins are 7th in the Championship, 4 places above the Swans. In the reverse fixture at the Liberty in August, Bristol City ran out deserved 1-0 victors: Looking ahead to Saturday, I think that the Swans will find the going tough at Ashton Gate and will return pointless, losing 0-2. Hope I’m wrong!
BBC also saying "Swansea City winger Jefferson Montero is in line for a deadline day move to West Bromwich Albion". Two pacey players out it is then. We are getting a player though, as I heard we're getting "Bugger All" in
Monty made both our goals when he was on against Brum. James scored the opener. Today is the final day for renewing season tickets for a £30 discount.....
ANDY WOOLMER WILL BE THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE FOR SWANSEA CITY'S CHAMPIONSHIP CLASH WITH BRISTOL CITY AT ASHTON GATE. The experienced Northamptonshire official has already taken charge of the Swans this season, having been the man at the helm of the thrilling 3-2 win over Brentford in December. Woolmer has been officiating in the Football League since 2004, and once refereed at the Vetch Field in a 1-0 win over Leyton Orient. He will be assisted by Nigel Lugg and Robert Merchant, while Chris Sarginson will be the fourth official.
Hanging on to buy mine I may pay an extra £30 or save £400 , the thought of putting anymore money in the yanks/jerkins arse pockets repels me, How can any one build a squad when the foundations keep getting sold behind the managers back , Potter won't be here long
If you owned the Club and you saw you can make a tidy profit then what would you do ? It is a business after all......We are safe this season anyway and i think that was the ultimate aim....
IMo not worth the effort of responding , although I find it hard to understand why someone who claims to been a major contributor to the Trust in its infancy would now tolerate the yanks/sellouts behaviour
3300 spending their hard earned money to back the team at Ashton Gate & these utter despicable cvnts, who have no interest whatsoever in the team, are doing their utmost to undermine, or not back the manager. Could be ugly, because the players could be really affected by any significant changes & could affect their performance during such a demanding fixture. Have these fvckers got any idea which way a football club works. It could lead to a possible difficult situation in the stands, if the resultant anger & resentment spills over. Hope the fvck Potter manages to keep the team together, but it could be a challenge, even to keep his own spirits up... Fvck the Yanks & any tw@t who supports them..
