I think that's a good idea personally, he's been out injured quite some time and we don't have the luxury of bedding him in gently. Getting him regular games else where makes sense and it's not as if we're struggling for midfield players.
I get your frustration but I think it's a good idea as our numbers in midfield are ridiculous and we probably won't be able to give him the game time he needs at this stage of his career. Scottish football will toughen him up.
Lots of first team football. Probibly a good move. I rate Embleton higher and he's out on loan. Games are important if they're to break through here Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Shame as I think he is better than some of the rubbish still being picked regularly. I would rather JR built a team around our academy players, the last time the team shone at home imo was Wolves last season, maybe Wolves were coasting, but a young exciting footballing team, picked by Robbie Stockdale, took them apart in style, can we say we have seen that level of performance since ?
I rate both of them as you are possibly aware, and think they could be part of a very exciting mid-field already at JR's disposal, when he arrived we were told his teams played " fast attacking football", what we have seen are lots of half time 0-0,s at the SoL, a tad disappointed with this news tbh. especialy as he has mentioned he rates Ethan Robson very highly, yet loans him out, its not like the current first eleven are blowing teams away, far from it. My midfield 4 or 3 would be chosen from Embleton, Robson, Honeyman, Leadbitter, Catts (until Mumba is ready to take over), Power and O'nien in a 4/4/2. at home and 4/2/3/1 away.
I don't think Robson has shown enough yet to be first choice in our midfield at this critical time. I think a loan now is a good option for him. We are stacked in midfield.
He has looked good to me in the few chances he has had so far, if he had cost 2m we would be all championing his cause, its a tough one I know, but the same was said on here of Honeyman and Maja not that long ago, you have to take risks now and again, every signing is one, but they are given far more opportunity because of the outlay, we are not well stacked in mid field at all imo. Mcgouch, Power and Catts give me a break.
Plus Leadbitter, Honeyman, O,Nien, Mumba.....In my opinion we don't need 8 midfielders for the next 15/16 games or so.
This. He's looked alright in one game but I think he's overhyped, tbh. I'd rather see Mumba and Embleton in the team before him.
