Sorry to post a gloomy question, but as this month is coming to an end (no new owner and no sign of quality reinforcements despite the rich list place), I'm wondering if it's just me who can't see anything positive looking ahead. Your response if by 1st Feb: 1) no incoming players 2) incomings are lower league quality 5) any 1st team players sold My response would be to accept the reality of the Ashley's ownership and move on with life without football - though I've said this for some time already.
Agree. We are down already. We know the club of lies won’t back Rafa. We know Rafa is away in the Summer. We’ll end up floating around the Championship for years and having journeyman manager after journeyman manager come though our doors.
I think Murphy will be away on loan, Hayden will be allowed to leave - replaced by Samaris (woeful) and Bareca (sp - worse than Manquillo by some accounts). As Cardiff and Hudds have taken up the bottom two positions it's then just a question of whether Fulham or Burnley have more in the tank. But I couldn't give a **** if we stay up or not. I'll watch blithely on for the remaining months, then I'm done.

I want us to go down. As for me - NUFC will be relegated from my life. Cancel ST and save money. Not interested in anything the club does anymore.
My response won't change unless we significantly weaken the squad. We have enough in the squad to stay up. The manager is competent. Therefore I expect to stay up. In terms of signing people or not signing people, I don't think it will make that much difference. We are not in a critical situation with transfers if truth be told. Even if others strengthen, the types they will strengthen with won't hit the ground running in the main, and won't be of the quality where they suddenly jump above us in overall quality. I think Rafa has fooled everybody here. He has said its a miracle if we stay up. It really isn't. Now he may be just doing that in the vain hope of Ashley feeling the need to invest. Its a tactic I don't really like as it has more negative short term effect. However it is the done thing nowadays. The other thing Rafa is thinking about is his own career and ego. He says its a miracle if we stay, some of our daftie fans actually believe that too, and some will be swayed because Royal Rafa says so. So if we stay up (which should be the target and is very achievable), he is the best thing since sliced bread. If we go down it isn't his fault and he hasn't underachieved. Just typical political posturing from Rafa. In terms of me and my club heading forward. Football in general lost its lustre for me some time ago. For some reason I have this parasitic tick named NUFC I'm unable to shake off. I'll undoubtedly plough on supporting the club and team. As with last time and last season, I don't mind if we go down. The promotion campaign is always more fun to watch.
