yet but that was a TINA moment but with Clyne i'm told there are alternatives at FB like Milner , Fab
If Werner is available at a realistic price would you want him? Do we still need another front man? I think so. What do we do with our midfield. Milner replacement required? Do we still need the creativitive player or will an in form Keita and a fit Ox suffice? Who becomes our back up LB and RB? And is our third choice CB good enough? What kids will step up?
media speculation is he is going to sign a new contract with a clause in it that any one of 10 clubs can sign him for 70 mill (think the figure was euros and not sterling) also be on 100k a week, do we offer that, or we still doing where most is made up of bonuses?
I've said several times now that there must be a valid explanation. Despite not knowing the reasons (or perhaps because of) people rush to judge too easily imo.

Who said either LB or RB was sorted? We alternatives to TAA & Robbo. They could obviously be better, but Clyne is no better a option than Gomez, Milner or Fabiniho. PS...Moreno barely counts as a option / alternative tbf though
iverpool transfer gossip: Unwanted player offered exit as Reds scout youngster Liverpool look unlikely to do any first team dealings as the January transfer window winds down Liverpool look unlikely to make any first team signings in January - but their could be a potential outgoing. One unwanted player is set to be offered an early exit this month before his contract expires at the end of the season. Daniel Sturridge, meanwhile, is keen to focus on his football at Anfield despite uncertainty surrounding his future. And the Reds are continuing to look to the future, with another teenage talent on their radar with other Premier League clubs interested. Here's a look at the latest Liverpool rumours doing the rounds as a quiet transfer window edges closer to a conclusion. Markovic offered Mexican escape Unwanted Liverpool man Lazar Markovic will be offered an Anfield escape by Club America, according to ESPN FC. The Mexican champions are interested in a deal to sign the 24-year-old, who has been told he has no future at Liverpool. The former Benfica winger has made only 19 appearances for the Reds since joining in 2014 and has recently been training and playing with the Under 23s. Liverpool scout young gun Manchester United and Liverpool are amongst big clubs watching Birmingham youngster Romello Mitchell. According to the Daily Mail , scouts from both clubs watched Mitchell score for Blues Under 16s against Sheffield Wednesday. He has been a regular scorer for their Under 18s despite only recently turning 16 and is attracting plenty of interest. Sturridge fully focused Striker Daniel Sturridge insists he's fully focused at Anfield despite his uncertain future. The injury-prone forward has barely featured this season, with Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane all ahead of him in the pecking order. He looks likely to depart in the summer when his current contract expires - but he told BBC Radio 1 Extra he's concentrating on helping the Reds win trophies. “I’m staying focused on right now. You’ve got to live in the present, you can never live in the future," Sturridge said. “I’ve been at Liverpool a long time and I’m happy too. I want to try and help bring the team some success, to win a trophy with them would be amazing.” https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...pool-transfer-gossip-unwanted-player-13912861
We definitely need to sign another CB. Whatever people may think about Lovren and Matip’s ability, they’re injury prone and unreliable. The same can be said for Gomez as he continues to pick up injuries.
Gomez is easily our 2nd best centre back and like we all agree he should always be played there. He is a bit injury prone, but I think that comes with playing RB, whereas CB isn't as physically demanding.
lads... (I'm replying to this one to avoid just this being seen as me bashing jimmy for fun) Let's be very clear on gomez... very clear. it ain't right to start painting this lad as injury prone. not right at all. look at the actual facts 18/19 Fractured Leg 17/18 Ankle Injury 16/17 Achilles tendon 15/16 Cruciate Ligament Let's just be clear here. he suffered a cruciate injury playing for England u21s. a bad challenge. he was in rehab from this in summer and picked up a strain on his Achilles. this is actually **** that happens! then last March he was carrying a knock and England ignored our medical team advice and played him and he was injured after getting knocked over in an aerial challenge v Holland. then this year Ben mee made a bad challenge and drive him down that slope into a hoarding and broke his leg. there's is ONE injury there....ONE... that is not a direct impact injury. many other players get called rocks and pick up the same injuries. the lad is too honest if anything so let's not be labelling our very own best young cb in england as injury prone cos he gets kicked
I was going to post the definition of "injury prone" but couldn't arsed with the uneducated responses...
Does it matter if he picks up injuries easily from being tackled badly, or if he picks injuries easily from doing training? It's still an injury. That said, he's still young, hopefully it's just bad luck.
