    Rotherham Utd v Leeds Utd
    Saturday 26th January 2019@3pm
    Streaming links to follow
Leeds make the short trip South(well, 33 miles to be exact) to the New York Stadium to face Championship strugglers Rotherham Utd on Saturday afternoon.

Izzy Brown completed another 45 minutes for the U23's and may well be on the bench, whilst Berardi completed 44 minutes and is not due back to first team action for another fortnight.

Bamford, Douglas and Dallas are also all due back to first team action next week.

Jansson will serve a one match suspension for being sent off last week against Stoke whilst Phillips returns from a three match ban and will fight it out with Halme to partner Cooper in central defence.

Leeds have lost 3 out of their last 4 games - surely this has to be a must win match!!!

this is going to be a proper test of our character ... Rotherham are a lot better than their league position suggests, and if they're on it then it's going to be a tough ask ... must win though, must win

If Douglas is back I would go with :

    .......................Peacock-Farrell..........................

    Ayling.........Halme.........Cooper.........Douglas

    .............................Phillips...................................

    Hernandez.......Forshaw........Klich........Alioski

    ..............................Roofe....................................

Douglas & Alioski work well together defensively & going forward

Save Jack Clarke as our game-changer if we need him

Yes, I agree, though Douglas won't be fit to start, so I'd play alioski at left back and fit in Clarke on the wing somewhere

Would have to go with that if Douglas is unavailable although I do think we are weaker defensively

Since when did I ever agree with anything! :D

    I'll go with .....

    .......................Peacock-Farrell..........................

    Ayling.........Phillips.........Cooper.........Allioski

    ...........................Forshaw...................................

    Clarke......Hernandez......Klich..........Harrison

    ..............................Roofe....................................

It's not the team I'd like to see, but the one I think Bielsa might go for.

I think he might put Casilla on the bench to get the feel of the Championship, and his selection will depend entirely on BPF's performances.

I'd rather not have Phillips in the back 4, but I think Bielsa thinks he's more secure at this time than Halme.

Similarly at LB, if Douglas is not fit, Alioski is a more secure selection, as both Davis & Pearce are sharing game time in the u23s, and still have a lot to learn - and of course Pearce is still a little ring-rusty after his injury.

Midfield, I think Pablo will be selected as #10 ahead of either Forshaw or Klich, which means that we'll be sticking with the same starting wingers. The dark horse for starting as #10 might be Roberts, but I don't think he's there yet.

Speaking of Roberts, he's a long, long way from dislodging Roofie up top, so no change there either.

But then, what do I know? Can anyone read Bielsa? Bet his wife still can't predict when he wants his tea at breakfast time! :)

Not sure but think for most of the games during that streak it was Dallas at right back.

We did however have Siaz and Clarke frequently coming off the bench to shake things up either at HT or after an hour. That to me seems to be the difference as we now have no game changers to come on and make a difference...Bamford at Bolton being another example.

Doc is there any way of finding out how many goals we've scored versus minutes Harrison has been on the pitch ?

My instinct tells me we struggle when he plays but hopefully I'm wrong.

This is spot on. I watched them stuff the blades and only get a draw.. they leaked 4 to West Brom but again they weren’t actually outplayed. They leak soft goals and don’t take their chances.. you could say a bit like us but find themselves at the wrong end of the table. If you read match reports and look at shots etc, they have been pretty unlucky.

It’s sods law that the day they find their shooting boots will be against us!

I saw this as a potential banana skin before our run of bad results. Important game (aren’t they all) in the circumstances.

So confirmed from presser: Casilla in for bpf, Phillips in for Jansson.

Keeper change was a likely, Philips for Jansson a certainty.

Going to be damp come wet pitch so lets run them ragged around the cerealbowl stadium. Beradi nowhere near fitness so phillips will do against this little south yorkshire club.
I amgoing for a shutout and three plus goals for the mighty whites.

If I remember Billy, it was a hard fought 2 niller last time. With Norwich and the blades playing each other, its an important game. <ok>
