The stewards were trying to take banners about the owners and the fans weren't interested, apparently. The club shouldn't be putting them in that position. That's pathetic.
Yeah been reading up on it, safe to say Ken Anderson isn't the most popular man in Bolton these days.
What is this I'm hearing about Citeh compiling a dossier for refs about how Sterling is badly treated by them? Can this be true? If so, surely it must be breaking some rule?
Kevin Prince Boateng has secured a loan move from Sassuolo to Barcelona until the end of the season. I have to say. That is probably one of the most bizarre transfers I'd ever imagined . The logic behind is that he is meant to provide cover for Suarez, apparently, who has been playing a lot of minutes this season. I would be a lot more understanding of this move if his goalscoring record was better and if he'd scored a goal since late October, but it isn't and he hasn't. I'm not sure what it is about Barcelona and some of their peculiar signings in recent years. But they've sold Munir El-Haddadi, who is younger and better than KPB. And they've loaned out Alcacer to Dortmund, who has 13 goals in 17 appearances for them. Way to go, Barca. Getting rid of two good players and bringing in an inferior one. Are they trying to give Real/Atletico a chance to get back in the title race?
Maybe we should do something similar ...because that's the only way Sky would suggest such a thing was the worst kind of victim complex
Is that not a conflict of interest? OK, in retrospect possibly not but pre game surely having a ref who has coached one of the players shouldn't be allowed?
Thoughts have to go to a young man on his way from France to play in the PL and his plane crashing into the sea. So tragic, what was a journey full of excitement and happiness has ended in the deepest sadness for his family and friends.
Like most clubs, we've signed some bad players over the years. He stands out as one of the worst. I forget which game it was but I was left questioning whether he'd ever seen football played before, let alone ever joined in a kick around. Years later, he confessed to being pissed for most of the time he spent with us. KPB, GDS and Taraabt, what a ****ing waste of money!
The other side of transfers that people seem to forget. Bent for me at 16 million was crazy from the start and then not so obvious were Bentley and Postiga. We have wasted huge amounts of money on naff players, we could have built a new stadium instead.
He played a couple of good games in 2010. Which puts him 2 ahead of the other three, collectively. Still a ****ing dreadful waste of the most of the Robbie Keane fee.....an ex-Gooner bought by an ex-Gooner. What could go wrong?
He put in the single worse performance in a Spurs shirt (other than Gilberto) in the 4-1 loss to the goons in the league cup in Sept 2010. It was so bad it was mesmerising
Barren Dent caused a domino effect of facepalming to go through the team First we paid £16.5m for a striker in spite of having Berbatov, Keane and Defoe (also Mido, but he was destined to leave anyway) Then we had to find a way to integrate him into the team even though the Keane/Berbatov pairing was superb Then it soon became obvious he wasn't a fit for the team, but we were stuck with him for the season Then Defoe got the hump at being fourth choice and left for Portsmouth in January Then both Keane and Berbatov were tapped-up over the summer, leaving us with Bent as our lone striker
The interesting thing about those players is they were very talented and were technically very gifted. They proved it when they moved to other leagues. I suppose they had poor attitudes and behaviours when they were with you, which is what let them down. Going back to KPB specifically, you lot signed him when he was 20-years old, so I can understand the arrogance and immaturity. But when assessing his career since then, I still cannot wrap my head around him now being at Barcelona. Aside from a purple patch at Milan (where he won the league to be fair to him), and few decent albeit unspectacular seasons at Las Palmas and Frankfurt, I just don't see how Barcelona think he's good enough cover for Suarez. It is only a short-term loan deal, but still. Like I said, they had better options internally and ended up flogging them off! Just a very strange situation all round. As weird as the Paulinho transfer. They must have a thing for Spurs rejects...
