Bugger that if he's a left-sided winger get him in the team against Chelski no lose situation he could help us get something from the game and at the least it gives him some premier experience.
This is true, but i thought he was another one with potential and for the future............. In a few years time we could have a decent team at this rate......... A natural l/w is hard to come by, so what will SB do?
I don't know how SB can state that he is "one for the future" when he's 22 years old! As a natural left footer he will provide balance and has got to be better than Larsson or Colback who have both been tried on the left, to little effect. Get him in the side and let's see how he gets on.
i think the only way you can try him out is in the cup,you cant just chuck him in against one of the best teams in europe.. i think if he has a few reserve games and does well then maybe play him against one of the bottom half teams.
He's 22... If he's ever going to be good enough for the first team he should be showing it (at least in parts) by now, surely?
Maybe when Bruce says the future he means the near future. I think bring him is slowly, bench for Chelski and a few more games, give him a taste and see what he can do, maybe he is the reason we did not buy a LW, maybe we have already got one.
Yes I guess it is how you define the future. I think they will need to give him a bit of time to get up to speed because it is a big step up from the Irish league to the EPL.
