It really does make you wonder where we could be in 12 months, after Ralph has had a summer to organizer and bring one or two of his own players in. I think he is such a breath of fresh air and so so good. For me he is already a acheived more than Poch did in the same period. Please can we give a Fraser Foster type on contract!
Space, we waste time for the last 20 minutes of the game and then bitch when the ref adds on 5 minutes of extra time, there were what 5 substitutes, that's 1 minute a sub, Long injury took another 3 minutes. But hey, we won and I am have a beer to celebrate.
Erm, the ref judged our use of time and awarded 4 minutes. That was fair. Where he found the other four, all in the soace of the final four, is my grievance. Even that comes second to the fact he had no control over the game at all...
He's only been our manager for five bloody weeks!!! Almost every player in that team has improved immensely in that time.
It’s because we finally have a manager who knows how to use him. I’ve been saying for ages that JWP has to work on his finishingto translate his touch into actual goals. If he can do this, he can be a big threat. His ability to shoot from distance means the defense has to step up and cover him closely. Which then creates problems because JWP is a good passer. And JWP can still find space to receive the ball just by virtue of being somewhat intelligent and a tireless worker. The biggest flaw in Prowse’s game is he is not super fast and he isn’t the kind of player who can dribble at players and beat them. Which is why he was wasted playing in a widening position. The only thing I’d, Hasenhuttl is also getting the best out of our other midfielders who were all mostly being wasted under othe managers, too. So still not sure if JWP locks down a starting spot. But at least he has a chance now. And it’s a good selection headache for once.
SOUTHAMPTON still unbeaten in Premier League in 2019. I need to repeat that. SOUTHAMPTON still unbeaten in Premier League in 2019.
