Whilst endevouring to do as little as possible at work, I tend to peruse the Beeb's Sport website (they're the only websites we're trusted to use!).
Imagine my shock, when after an encouraging opening to the new season, I read the following headlines to the audio/video content:
There are a few decent ones in there, but the overall opinion provided is that we are a whinging Warnock-esque club, struggling to keep up with the big boys. The only reason this annoys me is that it spoils our image as the likeable new kid on the block; those who work behind the scenes have tried hard over the past 20 years to distance us from most negative "vibes", and the BBC seem to be attempting to steer us in that direction!
Perhaps this thread could serve as a starting point for a discussion on the merits of sport reporting and media bias?
Anyway, not that bothered, just slightly peeved!
