I've been watching the ' Sunderland til I die ' series on Netflix, which covers their first season in the Championship when they got relegated to League 1. Throughout the whole series most people involved in Sunderland and the fans seemed to be under the impression that they were too big a club for the championship, even when they were in a relegation battle. I suspect Stoke are the similar, not that I think Stoke will get relegated, but I suspect there may need to be an attitude shift if they are going to start being serious challengers for promotion.

At least with all those roundabouts you get several opportunities to turn back. :)

Shamelessly stolen from Lee Mack on QI

Not sure if already mentioned on here, but rumours are circulating that Bielsa is about to resign as Leeds manager

    https://onefootball.com/en/news/mar...s-leeds-manager-en-23725084?variable=20190116

Not sure if it's true of course, as the outlets reporting it are generally of the lower credibility, but certainly could do your lot a huge favour when Leeds inevitably fall apart. Naturally Leeds fans are dealing with the reports with hearty dose of common sense and patience

I doubt there is any foundation to it. They said that he has a tendency to walk away over little things on Talksport this morning so it’s probably journos just putting 2+2 together

Maybe the owners are giving him stick over the spygate saga and he's not happy about it????

Apparently all 72 EFL clubs signed a charter making this illegal.

This has to be B.S hasn't it?

It's out of order, it's un-sportsmanship, It's dirty tactics, that fit the club. But it sounded like they are going to get way with no action. I can't imagine he will leave?

    Although….

After all the Leeds fans saying it's fine.

Their manager who did it sounds like he knows he has cheated and done wrong...

VAR disallow another goal which looked fine.

Spent about 2-3 minutes looking at it.

How is that "Clear and obvious mistake"?

Because it is Premiership at home to a Championship.

Same with Newcastle against Blackburn last night.

Same with Promoted teams against Established Premiership teams.

VAR is suppose to make this all fairer.

The just twist it, and make it harsher rules for one, more relaxed for the others. VAR is not going to change anything.

So with both the Potters and Florists having new managers, will we see a ‘new manager bounce’ from either side??
Not looking good for the Potters in their early games

I've just seen the report on Bielsa's press conference. It sounds like they have Rainman managing their data analytics. Probably didn't even need people watching the training sessions he had that much info on opposition capabilities. Amazing to get some insight into how much detail some these coaches go into. Ethics of "spying" aside, this guy is brilliant. Leeds won't want to lose this fella.

I'm guessing they would be pretty impossible to get hold of when we are in the Premiership.
