I agree with ST, if you don't make sectarian remarks and you are not a bigot then the legislation should be of no concern to you.

It is of absolutely no concern to me.

Do you even understand what you're writing?

I never said I was happy with it. I haven't defended it.

It's no wonder you can't understand the works of Oscar Wilde mate.

Excuse me? You are very fond of the personal attack mate.

I think that the fact that these laws are more than likely to target Gers fans more is what has you pretending to condemn them on the one hand and warning others on the other. This 'sectarianism', whats the body count so far?

Sure mate, believe whatever you want to believe.

That's not the point though Dev is it? You have the odd arsehole who is actually a bigot but you have thousands who will sing a song that falls under these laws which means they will be branded bigots for singing it. The question is, who really gives a ****?

You should know what happens when real sectarianism rears its head Dev, it is certainly not what is happening in Scotland at the moment <ok>

You're sleepwalking into an intolarent society by ignoring this legislation.

It's giving people an excuse to find offence at the slightest of things.

It will ruin society.

Edge, Girvan Loyal and cieran.

You've got yourself in some good company there Irish <laugh>

I will most likely be having a ding dong with both soon enough. If i disagree with someone on a topic I do not carry it onto another topic, I am not a moron Stereo <ok>

You mean songs that are bigoted in nature?

And they call celtic fans paranoid!!

I am a Celtic fan. I am a Fenian too.

The point is that the 'sectarian' laws are tackling religious related stuff and can't, really, target IRA songs. I am a Republican, have never made any bones about it.

I've covered this topic before Ciaran but I personally don't believe in the "90 minute bigot" being the rule rather than the exception. There are plenty of bigots in Scotland who hide behind this sham excuse that "it's only a song" and the reason that bigotry continues to be a problem in Scotland is because too many people are either unwilling to accept that Scotland has a problem. Neil Lennon can testify to that.

We cannot deal with a problem until we accept it exists and it does exist. Burying our heads in the sand on the issue suits only the bigots.

Erm, yeah. So what? It's a song mate ffs, who really gives a ****? I know guys who go to Gers games and blast the old party songs out but I would trust them with my life. No problem. It is escapism, a couple of hours at the weekend. Grow a back bone ffs <ok>
