I didn't think we would get anything much from Leicester and Everton, so the win at Leicester puts us technically ahead....so this is a freebie. Keep telling yourself that, girl. :)
Everton is a game we can win....I hesitate to say because we are at St Marys. A draw would be ok as we have to keep the points ticking over and psychologically important to keep up the confidence.
I feel for Ralphie...unless he has had a team like us before, he is on a big learning curve. Every time they make you feel good and confident it is important to remember that this is Saints...they can always surprise you and rarely in a good way. :)

2-0 Saints. Yes, we will keep a clean sheet.

I'm with Fran, this is a freebie as the most I thought we would get out of Everton & Leicester is 2 draws, so we are already ahead on points.

That said, if you ignore last night (Cup game, different team, different formation, different desires), this is winnable if we are on our game.

I trust Ralph, and I am pretty sure we'll make a game of it.

------------------------McCarthy----------------------
---------Bednarek - Stephens - Vestergaard---
--Vallery---------------------------------------Targett
----------------PEH-------------Romeu--------------
---------------Armstrong - Redmond--------------
----------------------------Ings-------------------------

Pretty much the same as @Dark Lord SFC team...but with Redmond spelt correctly ;)

COYS, let's do this.

I'd be stunned if Romeu started.

Interested to know why a few people are leaving JWP out. He was very good first half last night. Romeu looked more tired at the end. Those two should perhaps interchange Saturday. Play the one with the best recovery.

Actually, totally forgot about MacDonald too. Ralph has got some (nice) selection issues this game :)

EDIT: Scrap that lol, He is in my team. In my defence I am tired and just come out of the world's most boring meeting

I left him out for
1/ I see JWP and PEH doing the same job, i.e. moving defence into attack whereas Romeu is purely defence
2/ He has played a lot of games without a break
3/ Would have JWP and Lemina on the bench ready to replace the starters

Please can I remind people that there is a thread dedicated to VAR discussion which @The Liebherr Legacy stsrted, so please don’t clog up this match day thread talking about something completely irrelevant to this match.

Thank you.

Sorry mate I think that was my fault as I forgot what thread I was on this morning.

So gutted still :(

Imagine having to wait 3+ minutes for Long's goal at Anfield to be awarded, or Gabbi's second at Wembley?

Never again will you get the emotion and tension release of those moments. It will only get worse too, mark my words.

Surely when your watching a live game and we score your first thought isn't hang on don't celebrate they've got to check VAR. I bet every fan will continue to go mental next season when their team scores, then it will die down while VAR is checked then you might get the chance to mental again if VAR confirms a goal. If anything VAR will raise the tension of those moments.
