Going strong, but not so sound of mind with that length of self-imposed torture. :emoticon-0100-smile
Bet you still blame your bad luck at that Man Utd cup game at B.P. way back when.

Yeah it has been a rocky road at times TC but I've never for a minute considered changing my stripes. I started on a high as a 9-year old in the glorious Raich Carter era and in my old age have experienced the "ecstasy" of witnessing first hand the Fraizer Campbell/Windass goal at Wembley and promotion to the Premiership, a 2-goal lead after 15 minutes over Arsenal in the Cup Final, and now the longest winning streak in the 2nd tier since 1910. Nunc dimittis !!!

Same roller-coaster for me CT - about 7 years later. I never saw Carter in action, although my maternal gran was a friend of Raich's missus.
The major highs for me were the Waggy/Chilton etc era. Magic time, despite me living in Leeds 65-71. City at weekends, Revie's gang occasionally mid-week. I missed most of the doldrums after emigrating, but dad used to stack up the green Sports Mail & sent them over once a month. Like you, never lost my love for the Tigers' stripes.

My Dad went to Raich's funeral at Chanterlands Avenue.

Needless to say, there was a great turnout x

Was he actually buried there ? If so, didn't realize that. Somehow I thought he was laid to rest Sunderland way ? He lived in Willerby at the end of his life I seem to recall , so probably makes more sense given most of his adult life was spent close to Hull.
Edit: I think he may have advised Waggy to move to City as he was in charge of Mansfield when Waggy played there in the early-mid 60's.

Sometimes for much loved people there are multiple funerals.

I'm going only going on what my Dad told me. He definitely went to such an event.
