Yeah I don't get where this thing about Spurs bringing players through comes from really. It's only Kane they've brought through in recent years.
It’s absolute bollocks. What they are good at is spotting talent developed by other clubs, further nurturing them and selling them on for a profit. Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy are good businessmen and they’re in the game to make money.
We’ve made a fair bit of dough from the academy in say the past decade. Kane’s the pinnacle of it but there’s been quite a few to come through who are now playing/ played Prem football. Could be wrong but I’d say only Southampton and Utd have produced and profited more from their academies in that time frame.
There’s a few who have come through the spurs ranks who went on to other clubs. But the main claim that HIAG is trying to make here, in comparing you to Utd, is that your team is ‘mainly’ made up of Academy players, when that is clearly bollocks.
