Next time cube up your spuds into 2 cm cubes, par boil for 5 minutes, drain the water . Dry and the shake them in the pan to routh up the edges. Sprinkle two Tbsp's of semolina powder over then fry them.

Commie: "OK, have you got any jam?" Man behind counter: "No but there's a bottle of raspberry liqueur out the back that we've had since 1973." Commie: "That will do, I'll take it."
Had steak last night with Boulangere potatoes. Very easy to make. I agree on Cumberland they are my fave.
I made a 15 minute vegetable curry as I fancied having a vegetable curry. It was surprisingly excellent.
You’re not doing that Veganuary **** are you? I was in a meeting with someone yesterday who decided to share the fact they were doing it. I didn’t reply, but my facial expression sufficiently expressed my disdain.
Just checking. My sister decided she was going vegan last year. She’s inflicted it on her 2 young kids and husband as well. She needs reporting to the authorities.
I deal with a lot of vegans in my line of business. Most of them are okay, just doing their own thing. But there is a small militant minority who think that every other ****er should be vegan too and see fit to judge everybody who isn’t. There’s a lot of hypocrisy in the vegan activist movement too, lots of them abhor any animal cruelty, but turn a blind eye to slave labour and child labour in food imported from Africa.
