See your point mate but tbf, you're naive to think the players aren't wanting financial parity with others from rival clubs.
The real test will come for Spurs when a certified offer for Kane, Alli or Eriksen comes in and it's for mega-money that will help fund the stadium debt and also offer the player/players in question massive pay rises.
As of now nobody can prove you're wrong so it will take a public offer or a player downing tools for more money or a dream move to Spain etc.

You’re debating a point against something I haven’t said though, mate.

Comm said money counts in response to when I said to Ern that not all players would upsticks to China just for the money as some would prefer competitive football.

If Madrid or Barca come calling for Eriksen, he’s gone, I’m fully aware of that. But if a Chinese club came in for Eriksen, right now at his age, I’m positive he’d say no, even if he could earn more there than he could at Barca/ Real.

That’s why I’m saying, if money was the only motivation, all of Europe’s top players would be in China by now.

That’s because the elite don’t wanna play a poor standard of football while they’re in their prime.

I could swear Ronaldo has had offers to go China or Middle East. He’s rejected them in favour of playing a more competitive style of football. Juve are probably still paying him a fat packet but he could probably earn something stupid like £1m a week in some of those countries.

Yes money plays a part in a player’s motivation but so does competitive football.

Of course, why not? They’re not a world beater, they’re not playing in Europe or challenging for anything domestically... what’s the reason to stay?

Gyan left you boys for the Middle East. He could’ve stayed with you, remained a decent Prem player but never really would’ve become anything special so opted to take the money. Arnautovic is in a similar situation, good player, good enough to play for a top six side in fact but he’s currently at West Ham, 29 years old, nothing really to play for... China would make more sense for him than staying at West Ham.

So what we are are saying is, mediocre go to china or middle east....Over the hill head to to america?

To some degree, yeah.

Ultimately I’d say it’s about weighing up options. If we take Arnautovic for example, if he feels he can win or challenge for stuff at West Ham then he’d be better off staying there for a few more years as the China offer will still be there in 3/4 years time. But if he feels like he’s at a crossroads where he’s at a club challenging for nothing nor playing in any European competition, he might as well leave now and collect a **** ton of money.

I.m not taking the piss..But let's look at Kane..

Let.s say another club came in for him, be it Utd, City, or one of the main foreign teams, should he go?

Yeah more than likely, he’d be moving to a better side to challenge for honours along with earning more dough.

But if a Chinese side or Middle East one came in for him right now, no chance he’d go.

Sancho, Nelson and Lookman have all enjoyed/ enjoying spells in Germany at the moment. Then go back further and look at the likes of Beckham and McManaman won stuff in Spain, Beckham picked up a Ligue 1 with PSG as well. Not a lot take the risk though, but those that do generally do pretty well.

I reckon players like Kane/ Sterling/ Alli/ Rashford etc would kill it in other top European leagues. Bayern want that Odoi from Chelsea who looks like he’s got a bit about him.

There was that Saints striker who went to China and became one of the top ten earning players in the world. They signed him because his physical appearance was what turned the Chinese on.
