How certain people on here moan at the club or AP for loaning out Bullard. The Allams are saving THEMSELVES 20k a week by not having him here. 20k is a lot of money to anyone and if they want it saved in their pocket rather than Bullard's then fair play. These are the same people who got us out of a very messy situation and have since spent millions on trying to improve the squad. Can't believe anyone would argue with the Allams wanting to save a bit of their OWN money, as we are still not balancing the books yet.
So your happy about us paying ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25.000 a week for our most talented player to play for Ipswich?
Don't think I ever said that did I. The point being that who could begrudge the Allams wanting to save tehmselves 20k a week, which is what they are doing. They are better off from this deal, which in turn makes the club better off. Fair play to them.
All this Jimmy Bullard bashing is getting extremely boring, Jealousy is the problem. He's on ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã45000 a week and the old green eyed monster has reared it's ugly ****ing head, Give it a rest boys.
JB should have been picked as soon as he was fit not treat like a leper. You don't get the best out of your players by treating them like ****.
Dean24 must be losing posts in translation. For the second time you got my post wrong. Never once did I bash Bullard. It was more if anything a bash at people like you.
Who gives a flying fig anyway, nothing we can do to influence the situation. As long as we are doing the buisness on the pitch and building for the future, then im happy.
Like it or not Bullard has gone.....end of. I personally hope we can get rid of him at the end of the season permanently but there aren't a lot of mugs around like Duffen who will pay over the odds for the transfer, line the pockets of an agent and give the player an outrageous amount of money each week, for the players twilight years of his career. What Pearson has done is try and make the most of a bad deal that he inherited. It doesn't sit well with anyone that we are left subsidising another clubs wage structure but thats the way it is. Offloading like we have has allowed other players to come in and strengthen us as a unit. Which Im sure all agree was needed but we didnt have the money until we freed it up from elsewhere eg Bullard and Kamil carzy. These players we have brought in are young and hungry, seriously what would you rather have??? You can't have your cake and eat it!!! Both Pearsons are doing ok for now, things don't happen overnight and the squad we have now already looks stronger and keener then the one we were promoted with. May be not this year but next season is looking as though we will be there or there abouts from the start and not from the mid point where we are now.
People still dont get this do they? Bullard is not a 45k a week player anymore? Right? At the very best someone would only offer him 20k as this is his current market value, the other 25k got written off months ago........ We will be paying/subsidising Jimmy for the next 2 years whatever happens to him.
Bullard should never have been signed in the first place with his dodgy knees, the Fulham fans warned us at the time he was a liability with his attitude but Brownie was never one to bother with things like that. Any money we save on him at his age is a massive bonus.
I doubt his bank manager will see anything like that amount. Offshore accounts are more liable to see the biggest wedge of it.
If he'd taken a wage-cut when the club was in deep ****, and especially after the long injury periods, I think I and many fans would have more sympathy for him. When he came back after the knee-job he said he'd repay the support he'd had from club and fans. When the club was injured he continued to demand a ludicrously high wage. In the North East the reasonably current average income is about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20,000 per year. Compare that to ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã45,000 a week and I'm afraid it looks obscene. The action on the pitch has not been impressive. The action off the pitch has been hypocritical. I want us to have the best team we can have, and the presence of a massively over-paid and under-performing player is not, in my view, good for team-building!
If you had a few months off work on sick and when you returned they asked you to take a 50% wage cut would you accept that??? He was never going to do that, no one would no matter how much or how little they earn. Its not his fault that the previous regime offered what they did, no one would turn round and say "no thanks". It is Duffen and Brown that sold us down the river on the Bullard deal and now Pearson is just trying to make the best of a bad situation. I agree that we will most likely be paying some percentage of his wage where ever he ends up for the next couple of years, I aren't happy about it but thats the monster that the football business has become. We are well rid of him for the circus that goes around his life , shame really as an on form Bullard could do wonders for any team but these BIG injuries he has had have had an impact and I doubt he will ever be the player he was at Wigan or Fulham so again we are better off without him and slightly better off financially (not much consolation though eh??).
