FFS That was like the feckin' Alamo <yikes>
Great result but worrying how we lost our composure.

I remember in the mid 70's we played Newcastle in the League Cup and won the first leg 1-0, we lost the second 3-1.Not that good tonight but I'm thinking if Chelsea can't beat Saints then they can't beat us.

That was very unconvincing from Spurs, and yet we won. Wouldn't have done that a few seasons ago.

Mind you it's clear that Chelsea need a striker they are pretty toothless up front.

Well I can't say that was a enjoyable watch, but that was a most unspursy semi final performance, Chelsea had an awful lot of the ball but we kept them at arms length pretty well. 2nd Leg will be a very tight affair again and we will need more of the same. As the game progressed Alli became the enforcer, Toby and Big Dave were immense and that Rose bloke did ok too

Nerve-wracking stuff for the most part, but to be honest I prefer it when the players know they have to finish the job in the second leg instead of assume they can coast to the next round as that's always a recipe for wanting to break the furniture (i.e. Inter in 2013-14, Sheffield United 2014-15, etc etc)

Didn’t think that was a foul from Lamela

I bet if they'd shown a replay and stacked it side-by-side with the Christensen one on Son in the first half people would see the problem. I'd blame VAR but Oliver blew his whistle for the Lamela one as quickly as he could, making VAR useless as you can't get the chance back.

Such a **** ref, no idea why he's considered one of the best. Missed so many fouls on Spurs players tonight and practically started crying everytime Hazard was touched.

Bit of a crap performance really. Showed our quality in the few chances we made but we're lucky Chelsea aren't in the kind of clinical form they used to have when they were successful.

It'll do, I suppose. Reckon it'll be 1-1 in the second leg.

Nothing too surprising tonight really - we need a CM, they need a striker. We probably just about edged it. Whoever can rectify their issues by the return leg will have a big advantage.

Well, I thought Chelsea played very well. They adopted the tactics from their defeat against Spurs. Their midfield completely dominated Spurs midfield. But Spurs defence held well, fantastic. Thought Gazza was very composed too.

Worrying that Spurs only have a one goal advantage in the second leg.

Thought Hazard was MOM.
