Thread of tweets explaining why the UK lamb market will be utterly decimated by Crash Brexit. For information, the industry is a similar size to the fishing industry that has the Brexit ERG Banana Bunch foaming at the mouth. I have been taken to task by someone on here for using the term "Crash Brexit". Well, the unicorn-promisers started it with "managed no-deal", so bollocks. This thread of tweets is factual, dull and full of tedious detail that can easily be dismissed as "project fear" or "just a projection", etc. Just a warning in case you can't be bothered to read it and want to attack it. What a ****ing triumph! Vin
All this going on, and yet tv dominated by a couple upset MP's who someone swore at them this morning. Right wing, left wing, I'm not too sure, but to call it extremist behavior seems daft. Lets get back to the real issues please.
I was hoping the real issues had gone away. Can’t we just pretend Brexit, Trump, global warming and oceans full of plastic never happened?
The evidence is that those MP’s were subjected to intimidation by, not a bunch of random loonies, but by an organised campaign. Britain First may well be behind it, and they can already claim the death of one MP to their tally. I’d call that a genuine issue.
You really think that! Their behaviour was disgusting and extreme. Where I live we are able to have sensible and mature discussions about Brexit no matter what side of the fence you sit on. I personally know Anna and to call her a Nazi is just wrong. Nobody knows how well it will pan out so to vehemently suggest otherwise is deluded. Personally I don't see anything wrong in having a 2nd vote providing there is more fact and less BS, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen
IF all it is about is them calling her a Nazi then she is grandstanding. She doesn't think twice about calling other people names. Saying "It is wrong to call her a nazi" is by the by. By that merit Farage would be on the phone to the police every hour. So there must be more to it than calling her a nazi otherwise half of the Owen Jones club will be getting knocks on the door.
There were other intimidatory comments about taking the EU flag pole and sticking it in various orifices of her and other females that were present. This behaviour has been going on for awhile as well. It would appear to be organised and not isolated.
Well, before you dismiss the "extremist" tag, watch this video of the chap who harassed Soubry in a happier, more charming mood, chatting with a policeman. Vin
Have you seen the video footage of what went on? If not, watch it. If you have, then please tell me that you haven't sunk so low as to think it was acceptable behaviour? Vin
Financial services companies have transferred around £800bn of assets from the UK to Europe since the 2016 referendum on EU membership. ...as not all firms have publicly declared the value of the assets being transferred, the total figure could be even higher. https://www.investmentweek.co.uk/in...assets-move-to-europe-since-brexit-referendum I know city firms aren't liked so here's why it's bad nes. Financial services are one of the UK's major exports. So, cheerio to the profits on managing these funds and goodbye to the tax take on them. What a ****ing triumph! Vin
I hope I'm misreading what you're saying here but that reads like you think the right time for action is after someone gets hurt. Vin
Nope. But I said a month ago I thought we'd see the yellow vest movement spreading. And the way our politicians have gone about things in recent weeks, makes them a target for anger. I won't be surprised if things escalate. But don't misconstrued that, I don't agree with it at all.
Got to be careful we don't blur the lines too much. Are you saying there's a connection, because that seems rather extreme to me.
