Gomez has been very good whether CB or RB, but I think he is more suited in the CB.Bonus to have a player who can play in two or more positions.
Wasnt counting him as he’s still injured. And id rather have Milner at RB and keep gomez at cb than move Gomez and play Lovren
It's not exactly long term, he's due back in February! Agree with keeping Joe at CB though, but Klopp seems to like to pick two of TAA, Gomez and Lovren to share the RC & RCB slots.
Maybe lovrens recent performances will change that opinion. Also so he may be due back in feb, could be end of feb which is month and half away, and then another 2-3 weeks until actually match fit?
So we can cope until Gomez returns then. I just don't get the panic over Clyne leaving. It's not like he played much. I'm more concerned about our midfield and attacking options, as I've have been all season.
Can't see Klopp changing the whole back line -------------------Mignolet Trent-----Lovren------VVD---------Moreno ------------Fabinho-----Keita Jones-----------Shaqiri---------Lallana -----------------Sturridge
Ridiculously, I didn't know who Jones was but I do know who Curtis Jones is Just couldn't put the first name to it for some reason
starts for sure. Moreno lallana sturridge kieta shaqiri mingolet. probable starters lovren Camacho fabinho ? positions cb rb lw
The key questions would also be whether those top players rested will be on the bench or given a days rest altogether. And whether should we fall behind Klopp would be willing to bring on any top players sitting on that bench. We are of course in adifferent position to Leicester. Their fans were absolutely pissed off yesterday after a seriously weakened team got dumped out. They had very little excuse. They had momentum after good results against Chelsea and City. They have very little chance of 6th nor relegation. So why did Puel do this? The FA Cup is still important in the eyes of the fans. Klopp should take note.
