QPR V Leeds Utd
3rd Round - FA Cup

Hi Folks

Following back to back defeats in the League, Bielsa men travel to West London to face QPR in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.

The big question is, will Bielsa play any first team players on Sunday?

Who would you play?

Could this be Lewis Bakers last chance to impress?

Is Jack Clarke ready to start, or is he too valuable to risk in the Cup?

Huffer or BPF between the sticks?

I was really hoping we’d have signed a new keeper before this game so Bielsa could have taken a close look. Harrison, Roberts, Baker all need to start, we need to rest and not risk Pontus, Roofe and Pablo, possibly Klich as he and Phillips have played the most games.

A very tricky game as a defeat suddenly becomes no wins in three and confidence drops.

Agreed.

Miazek or Huffer with the gloves. Would give Roberts or Stevens the Saiz role with Edmondson up top. Would bring in Dalby, Baker, Harrison, Nessy, Shaks, Davies

A pointless game this for me

If I was Bielsa I'd treat this as another game, so he can iron out what's been going wrong, as something obviously has.

Rest most / all first team players and the last 2 defeats are still on their minds, if we lose to QPR, it'll be 3 losses to think about, whether they play or not.

The players need to reboot their confidence, regain their passion, spirit and Psychological will for winning, resting'em won't boost either.

As they say, you fall off your horse, you get right back on it...............our next game ain't till next Friday, and it's Derby.

QPR are 8th, so can see McClaren resting most of his first team, as they have a realistic chance of making the play offs. Could be the battle of the reserve teams.

Bielsa has just named his starting eleven vs QPR: Peacock-Farrell, Shackleton, Ayling, Halme, Davis, Forshaw, Baker, Roberts, Clarke, Alioski, Harrison
Morning all I like the look of Marcelo's team for Sunday, they look like a team with potential who are likely to give a good account of themselves. Good luck lads.

In fairness this is an U23 reserve team probably playing QPR first team, unless they are also trying to save themselves for the run-in. On one hand I dont care if we get beat, but on the other it would mean losing 3 on the bounce.

A possibility is that we see Harrison and Baker turn in dynamic performances and watch Clarke score and feed Harrison with Roberts doing a No10 role?

I don't know why Radz don't write to FA telling'em we won't be competing in cup comps any more, it's becoming ridiculous.

FA Cup use to be the most prestige competition around world, now it's just a joke thanks to teams who treat it as a training period.

Ask yourself the reason why they treat it as a joke.

Maybe because the FA treat ut as a cash cow and dont give a toss about tradition and history. Look at the kick off times for tv done in 3 tranches today Leeds not even on BBC because they sold our match to overseas tv. A fkg joke and not our fault. When the cash given to promotion teams is over £100m compared to £100k value for a match. Shove it promotion means everything. Staying in the prem means everything...

Maybe its time to kick out the prem and Champ clubs completley or reward the winners properly with say a CL place instead of 4th in the peem. At least they would be champions and the money would be massive
