How many you going to batter us by?
Don't believe we'll batter you, and depending on the team Colin puts out, we mightnt win. We don't have a good record against lower league teams and I don't expect this season to be any different.
Can't see (m)any of the team that played over Christmas playing. Probably get a few of the bench regulars having a run out.

I dunno - if it's not enough to contend with the bloody Jacks now it's the Gills......<laugh> :emoticon-0105-wink:

Getting a win across there of any sort will be a feat. The rusty players Warnock will put will need WD40 to get them going.

I think we've both got the same problem - the longer we stay in the Cup, the more likely we each are to go down.

The prize is there to be won but the odds are stacked against us both getting anywhere near Wembley and perhaps it's wise for us both to consider our priorities - probably us more than you guys.

We'll take it as it comes win or lose for this one. No disrespect intended at all pal, but in our current position all eyes will be on our next Prem game at home to 'Udders. <ok>

Difficult to predict as gawd knows what team of stiffs Colin will pick.

Gills beat Pompey recently so shouldn’t be underestimated

@brb - just a general thought on the subject pal and in no way meant as disrespect.

The "magic of the FA Cup" realistically now only exists for lower divison clubs such is the financial importance of the league pyramid.

The elite Prem clubs are far more concerned with a top 6 finish and Europe for next season. The perennial mid table Prem clubs only view the FA Cup as a back door into Europe and are more concerned with staying out of a relegation battle. The bottom half dozen strugglers - and I obviously include us in there - won't give a second thought as to the priorities.

Let's face it, only one of the 92 PL and EFL clubs will go on to win the FA Cup - pretty poor prospects for most. On the other hand as far as we're concerned, there are 4 teams out of the current bottom 7 going to avoid the drop from the Prem - I know which one I'd concentrate on.

It's a shame but there it is - the early rounds in particular are generally non-events except for the minnows - and good luck to them.

I think we will win by the 1 goal. 2 - 1 i reckon.

Weve got more than enough to hammer them. Id play as strong a team as possible. Id rest Camarasa and Arter as we cant afford to lose either.

Gunner had a mare v Spurs and needs dropping so a complete new central midfield.

Smithies should get a game as well. Rest Patterson to the bench.

Its a chance to play Manga at cb.

Id go Smithies Peltier Manga Morrison Bennett Harris Ralls Damour NML Reid Madine.

More than enough to win and go through.

Nothing wrong with that side for the Cup game except that with loans pending, Warnock may not want to cup tie Damour and Madine.

Just looked up the weather forecast, currently predicted to be ok for Saturday. Low 5c but the important bit no rain. For those that don't know that are making the trip, the away stand is uncovered and scaffolding! Low numbers can be accommodated in the GRS Stand but i expect anything over 500 will be situated on the scaffolding...
