I don't think we will beat City (naturally), but if we did then Huddersfield would finish the weekend eight points adrift of safety. Given that they're only averaging exactly 0.5 points per game after 20 games, an eight point gap might as well be a 20 point gap. They need it to stay at five points. That said, they do host Burnley next, before then going to Cardiff. That is their chance to remind people that they are still in this relegation battle. (Conversely, if they finish with defeats to Saints, Fulham, Burnley and Cardiff, it's over.)
Newcastle dropping two points from a winning position is heart break for them, but as the song says, “that’s why they’re going down”. Cardiff showing lots of fight, but very little quality. Huddersfield are ****ed. Burnley just aren’t good enough. Anyway, our future is in our own hands. Two tough fixtures coming up, but I am fairly confident we’ll be alright.
After Arsenal-Spurs (regardless of who is at home), Arsenal-Liverpool (regardless of who is at home) is often the best game of the season these days in terms of goals.
Xhaka should be off. Why didn’t Oliver give him the second yellow. Pisses me off when they don’t deal with that just because he’s just had a yellow, 5 seconds earlier.
I feel the same when a player makes a bad tackle in the first 5 mins and get away with it because it’s “the first one”. A bad tackle is a bad tackle no matter what minute it’s in.
