First two I thought of. Keith Edwards lit up some dire afternoons at a bad time for us. Chris Galvin is another if he hasn't been mentioned.

Revie went for a lot of money for the time when joined us and when he left for Man
City. When he joined Leeds it made him the player who had the most spent on him at the time in this country.

    68. But know a bit about Leeds. My dad was from there. Played for Leeds schoolboys on Elland Road before the war. There was a still a section in West Stand where you could go right up to developing it and making it all seater in late 60s if you could produce your token they gave you for playing. Big perk as you got free travel on the trams on a Saturday. My dad couldn't as he lost his when he was torpedoed in the war. Regarded it as his lucky charm. As it was as a torpedo hit the bulkhead where he was and didn't go off but the next one along did. My uncle was an original applicant for the 100 club, older fans will remember that, which started Leeds resurgence. His golfing buddies were Revie, Harry Reynolds, Cussins and Silver. He used to go on the plane the team went on when no one travelled, especially to Communist countries because of cost and trouble getting visas.

57 goals in 132 games for a poor side, including one which prevented relegation and 29 in 55 when he returned certainly did make things better at the time. I think Leeds were the only club he played a full season for where he wasn't the top scorer.
