In November when Mitrovic scored that volley to beat us, I thought to myself; Any other day of the season and he fluffs that chance. Seeing him today cements that feeling. As poor as we were, they were lucky to get the 3pts against us.
I’d far rather Spurs win it than Liverpool. The media and pundit love in is sickening enough as it is.
Lallana, Clyne, Lovren too. You'd assume that with at least one of them - Virgil in particular - they'd be an add-on to the basic transfer fee should Liverpool win the league. (But then again, it was Reed negotiating on our side...)
19 games done (apart from some mid table kickabouts tomorrow). Last year the 18th placed team had 16 points, now it's 12. Burnley had 32 points, now they have 12. Huddersfield had 22 points, now they have 10. Man City had 55, now they have 44. Liverpool had 35, now they have 51. Everton had 26, now they have...27. We were 13th and Stoke were 14th (both on 19) but clearly both ended up in the bottom 4. Which is more points than we will have this time round. But it's hard to see so many teams having such a chance of going down this year. Huddersfield and Burnley will start to get into miracle territory by the end of Jan. Hopefully we will actually be good at the football from now on. Newcastle have a 5 point cushion, and 5/6 of their games against the bottom 7 are at home (the other one is Fulham away on the last day). I can't really see a way that this isn't Fulham v Cardiff for a 17th/18th placed race to that 31 point safety mark.
We all know about the media biased towards Liverpool. Fed up of it - it'll be unbearable if tjey win the title.
I'd rather Spurs win the title as then when we win it next year, Klopp will be the German Hassenhüttl
Anyone who’s written City off already need to give their heads a wobble. Liverpool won’t go unbeaten it’s simply not possible in the PL these days , 1 defeat and its wide open again. I still expect Liverpool to bottle it , £20 says Liverpool don’t win the league...
Leicester won the title a few years back, liverpool going unbeaten really wouldnt be a shock. But i do agree with you that man city arent out of the title race just yet... that will come at about 4pm on Sunday
