Don't tell me you haven't noticed A) Chelsea have jorginho as deep lying playmaker and kovacic and kante as well.. as a three all defending and all contributing. B) David Silva actually defends, as does de bruyne as does Bernardino silva. Amazingly thry don't just stand about C) lfc played a 4231with a midfield 2 last game and Keita playing as a ****ed in left wing and mane right. Shocking isnt it.... these sides don't just plonk one manto do all the grunt work while the others show boat. It's like thinking busquets, xavi and iniesta had busquets water carrying while the others fannied about
yeah we all saw on Saturday how well all the others defend for Man City PS Silva could have played Schniederlin to replace Gana / Gueye but didn't bother (until he subbed him on too late to matter) hence no defensive screen.

You look a shambles at the back this year or at least you did for the first 10 games or so. Think it’s more through luck that good defending, City should have been about 5-0 up at HT for example but you kept a clean sheet. Just cos stats say defence is doing ok, doesn’t mean you are any better defensively with Jorginho who can’t defend as the last man instead of Kante
I do agree .we need kante as dm but its a delicate situation. We look vulnerable to the counter but thats mainly because we sarri is trying to make us press. If you do that you leave wide open spaces and massive gaps especially since alonso is so far forward and only rudiger is an aggressive solid defender. How many big chances are we conceding compared to previously? I imagine its a similar or less number even though its more frequent per attack Kante would be better defensively but jorginho theoretically is the one that will help us keep possession (the pep way having the ball means less attacks). You boys look less vulnerable this year because you arent playing it as quick (hence the less goals and attacks) and your cms tend to sit more rather than rushing up with a full press. This alongside vvd and and robbo who can get up and down. Sarri just needs to learn. its taken klopp 3 years and a superb cb to find this balance.

If you watching we are pressing wide on full backs and only in creating areas. We hang round putting in a show when ball in central but the midfielders are 4 or 5 yards off thier men just following in when ball is played to their man but the second it goes wide we sprint at the men It's not just about vvd.
When the facts don't suit the narrative the lads get a wee bit annoyed. The real story with Chelsea is the inconsistency and lack of faith nin the no 9.
Lfc.... What's the real difference? Vvd? Allison? Or confidence and assuredness? You could tell for about 10 or 15 mins after alisson made that error recently that we were a bit shaken. But..... alisson just brushed it off like it never happened and we got back to business. In previous years it wasn't like the keeper would throw one in every game but there was little trust and any small error and we were on edge. For me the difference isnt just players. Klopp called it maturity. For me if we score... game over, we ain't conceding, we will get a second. We won't just give a side a chance they have to make it.
