Well said MrRAWhite. This could all be a load of bollox designed to unsettle the player. He could be quite happy here and not interested in a move. All the things I have read direct from Gyan are that he is happy at Sunderland and wants to re-pay Bruce for having faith in him.

All the rest is garbage from twitter and the daily rags.

Lets get behind the lad so he gets back on form and then he might decide to stay, especially if we can push on for a Euro place or a cup win.

Can't believe how much time you all spend speculating over pure rumours...is there not some work you could be doing?! :)

no, and it is a discussion forum, a place to discuss things.

Back to rumour and conjecture I think Bendy and his ego will do the job because I think Gyan cna match his ego. Neither will want to be second so will fight to be number 1, I hope so anyway.

Toon fan in peace.

From what I gather SAFC first offered Gyan to Marseille, then Spurs, eventually 2 turkish clubs came in and inquired about taking Gyan on loan, before the turkish transfer window shut last night.

From what I can tell Sunderland actually tried to sell Gyan, in order to generate funds to persue a different striker, maybe Cissé? Rather than Gyan wanting to leave. It looks like Bruce wants a different striker, not Gyan. So yes, it looks like he's not going to stay beyond next summer. However a lot can happen until then. He can score a boatload of goals for instance. Therefore... I wouldn't get on Gyan's back quite yet. I don't believe the whole transfer request thing. That is probably a rumor coming from the hirarchy of the club who have been trying to offload him or swap him for Crouch (which in business terms would have been a poor deal but maybe would have made sense in footballing terms, who knows, contemplating it is pretty vain now).

Gyan seems like a relaxed lad to me who didn't take action to instigate a move.

From what you gather from where travelsick?? Press reports??

SAFC distanced themselves immediately in the press about swapping Gyan or offering him to anyone. Gyan and his agent also distanced themselves from asking for a move.

All of the reports saying we offered him to anyone came out in the press and nowhere else - nothing from the club and nothing from Gyan.

Marseille said we'd offered Gyan for Gignac - but Gignac said he was never contacted by us or else he would have been interested - and Marseille stated that we let them down with Gyan after talking to Gignac - all press talk and bullshit from other clubs. Nowehere did Sunderland ask him to leave - only papers advised of that (and papers also advised that Gyan asked for a transfer) so "From what I gather" is a stupid statement really (not having a go as you say "in peace"- just simply advising what I have seen from all parties involved)
