Just looking ahead to tomorrows cards at Haydock, shame i'm not going but hey-o, and the double combo of Nichols & Frost with Brelan D'As and Danse Idol look a double up in the making... Bryon is enjoying a very fruitful time of it at the moment, a strike rate of 27% with Nichols, and with these being the only two rides the pair have at the course, the 15/8 & 7/4, the double maybe a good call me thinks...<cheers>

Will be interested to hear Stick's view on Music Major in the 325@ Lingfield.
Do I persevere with backing it, or do I call it a day?

He ran a bit flat last time out so if you are tempted I would just have a minor stake. But make it sharp in case the odds tumble. FFS shoot me

This is how the script goes Ron...

I have a small stake and he comes in about 5th....

    OR....

I decide to save my pennies and not back him, and he strolls in with ease at about 20s

So you think he will beat 11 home. I was about to up the tempo but it seems you don't want to play. Neither does anyone else :(

I have wasted too much dough on him and the yard have forgotten the way to the winners enclosure. To be fair although he was only fifth last time it was a very bunched finish. Sure to be one or two 3yo's in a race like this with the scope to improve past him.

Right Maestro (seriously). I have had a look at the last few runs by MM. He definitely seemed to improve for the step up to 12f (his first run beyond 10f). Drawn on the very wide outside (13 of 13) and had to race at least 3 wide all the way. Made smooth progress, then when stoked up came to challenge and wasn't beaten far. Tomorrow he carries 5lb less, and is drawn 2 on the inside so should find a few yards for that. Only 2 nks and a ns behind Famous Dynasty (drawn 4 in that race) who he re-opposes on 2lb better terms. Should beat that one and as the rest don't look up to much I would say your MM has solid ew claims tomorrow. Good luck if you wager

    CYRUS DARIUS 16/1 Ascot 3:35
I actually thought he ran a blinder on debut for his new yard. Travelled like a dream before blowing up and making a mistake in the closing stages. The handicapper has dropped him two pounds for that which I dont really understand but the more the merrier. Big chance at a very decent price.

Happy birthday stickler. Let’s celebrate with a nice winner or three. Avoid my selections.
