West Ham v Watford

Watford go into deepest, darkest, north-of-the-river London to play the newly formed, well lots of signings over the summer, West Ham United led by the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini.

The 'Ammerz haven't lost since their 24th November defeat to Manchester Citeh. Impressive hey? Well, they have played Newcastle, Palace, Cardiff and Fulham - winning them all. So, even though it has been a great run for them, they have played a lot of the teams at the bottom end of the table recently. Obviously, their confidence will be sky high and their summer spending spree is finding cohesion and coherence. The even have a little Mexican pea who has scored a few in his career!

On the other hand, Watford sit on equal points, in tenth position, in the table with the same game record as West Ham. (won 7, drawn 3, lost 7) But having scored two goals less, and both teams conceding 25, are behind them on goal difference. Something has to give on Saturday and I am guessing that Quina wants to show his former employers what they are missing. However, Capoue is back from suspension giving Gracia something to mull over selection wise as he leads his men further into the Xmas fixture madness.

ENJOY THE GAME

¡¡¡COYH COYH COYH!!!

<cheers>

I watched Quina quite closely in the last game, and was very impressed. Although I think it will be hard on him, I suspect that Capoue might get the nod. Also Cleverly looked very good in the few minutes he played, and I expect him to get some more time.

I'd go for this:

----------------------Foster

-----Kiko-----Kabs-----Cath-----Holebas----

--Pereyra-Doucs-Capou-Quina-Swedish Ken--

-----------------------TD9--------------

Bring on GD for Swedish Ken and go 4-4-2 after 60 ish if we are still in it. Maybe, even Isaac for TD9 too.

Our strikers can't score or at least aren't even near to prolific, so goals seem to need to come from elsewhere. Ken to keep it tighter in the first half, I have been impressed when I have seen him, solid and also good defensively. Also, Holebas might be winning me over, but nice to have a back up who is more than capable to push him. TD9 links up with midfield well and is needed as captain, moreover, for his strength. One day he might even score from open play again!! ;) Navarro doesn't seem to be pushing for a starting berth and Janmaat is still made of glass but a slightly better option.

What do you reckon?

We seem to do better against in form sides as we aren't complacent etc .

Will Javi try and change formation to keep Quina and Doucs in the team alongside Capoue ?

Lawro goes 2-0 for us !!

Just look where he sits in our prediction league. <yikes>

I think it's a reasonable move. Quina is young and would probably try too hard. On the bench for this one until we're either well ahead... or chasing the game. He is some talent, though. Phew!!!
