Chazz you're really chewed up about this aren't you. Can you really say that the other candidates for this award epitomised what sporting achievement is all about more than the netball team? Tiger Woods wins another golf tournament, Alistair Cook scores another century, England finally win a penalty shootout, Tyson Fury doesn't beat Deontay Wilder. All very laudable but nothing compared to the absolute joy amongst those netball women when they beat Australia. It doesn't matter that hardly anybody saw it compared to the shootout, and how many people watched the cricket or the golf? How many would have watched Tyson Fury on pay-per-view?
It reminds me of what sporting achievement used to be about before it became the multi-squillion dollar activity it is now.

To be fair, i'm surprised it won a public vote considering England winning a pelanty hootshout was a choice.

I'm glad it won though, it deserves more recognition.

I'm not chewed up at all, so dont assume.
It's a nothing sport, picked because the bbbc have coverage. And it's a feminist issue the right on beeb are pushing.

I think its obvious that Chaz got blown out by a girl who played netball many moons ago and is still bitter about it. Let it go Chaz, let it go.

Seems the rest of the world aren't so sure about its merits. Though the Yanks talking about inventing sports because you aren't good at one suggests they have no sense of irony as they invent sports and then declare the winners are World Champions. Not to mention their national sport is based on rounders.
