Simple P = A x B arithmetic,
If your profit and unit price/sales are P and A/B, then you
can decrease A if B increases to compensate.

P = 8 : 8 = 8 x 1 = 4 x 2 = 2 x 4 = 1 x 8.

If you choose B correctly, then as your example shows, not only
do you increase customer goodwill but you also increase P
beyond your desired minimum.

Does that translate as...

"At these prices we should definitely have another..."

If so, it's bang on!

We were taught that as “Price Elasticity of Demand” back in the day

I did basic macro-economics as an undergrad, but am struggling
to remember back 30 odd yrs whether I was taught the exact
phrase (have to assume I was :( ) .

I will use it now though (my start-up is entirely using the concept
to try and get first mover advantage in one nascent market) . ;)

It has to be said Heineken do tend to operate under this formula a lot. For example for one Olympics they ran a promotion with one pub chain where every time a Brit got a gold medal a pint would be half price for the next half hour, which again is going to increase the odds of somebody deciding to have another as it would essentially be 2-for-1 for the customer

This likely did a huge amount of business on that one Saturday where team GB won twelve gold medals in an afternoon

And also resulted in some people getting absolutely wrecked.

It's great that we're all going to be so close to the pitch, but we need to consider the players going out of play.
I don't know what the hell that is on the edge of the pitch, but it looks bloody painful. Hopefully it's temporary or it can be padded.

So I am not alone in thinking that the pitch edging might
be a bit dangerous for players (the sloping/stability etc) .

Looks like the goal in the picture is balanced precariously on the slope. Need to bring the goals forward or someone will do themselves a damage.

From KUMB...

"Couldn’t help myself but look on social media after seeing an BBC article that Spurs had done a “fan familiarisation day” for their new stadium. Some of the pictures make me sick to my stomach. That place is stunning. Stands, concourses, everything. It’s perfect."

"By way of contrast our club refused any access to the bowl of disappointment until the opening match."

"I saw that, it's a phenomenal looking arena. Bastards."

"I mean, their place even has indoor concourses, with walls and windows. Can you believe it?"

<laugh>
