Or an in-the-know comment from WindyAnything or nothing. It indicates that a change is being made to the constitution of the company. This could be done for any number of administrative reasons. It would not normally be done as part of a sale. It is just possible that a particularly complicated sale agreement could require changing the type of shares that exist and that these changes are being made so that the sale could go through. As proof that the club is being sold, it is as reliable as a tweet from somebody who knows somebody who knows something.
