https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46496675 I saw this live as it happened on BT Sport. I felt like it was the late 70s or early 80s all over again.
Disgusting.....no place for that....hope Chelsea ID them and they receive the appropriate punishment .....****ers
I’d like to see Cook from Bournemouth get a retrospective ban. That scrape down the back of Salah on his way to scoring was a disgrace. 40 years out of date. The league moan about players diving, but if they let that go, just because Salah went on and scored, then They are encouraging players to dive. Take a look at Salah’s face as it happened.
Said for a long time that the authorities and media etc. almost encourage diving. Did the ref play advantage? Cos if not you could argue it wasn't seen so can be charged.
I’m not sure if he did see it. Cook really should be done as it was awful. He raked his foot right down his Achilles deliberately because he knew Salah had gone and it could have caused a nasty injury.
I watched the game live and Lee Mason definitely didn’t see the foul by Cook. It was a disgusting thing to do and could have put Salah out for weeks, which, much as I don’t want Liverpool to do well, is something nobody wants to see. As I said at the time, a lesser player would have gone down, but Salah carried on and scored. Cook definitely deserves a retrospective ban for that.
He didn't originally play advantage. Pretty much as the ball was rolling over the line, suddenly he indicates advantage. He was basically celebrating, rather than giving advantage.
Like you lot, I can barely be arsed to update that Toon are down to ten. Who cares, till we start getting points.
It's definitely a seven team relegation battle now. Big gap now above Cardiff. Any risk of Wolves joining the party after a very poor run of results has been put to bed with successive wins. Next up: Palace v Leicester Huddersfield v Newcastle Spurs v Burnley Watford v Cardiff Fulham v West Ham With us wrapping it the following day against Arsenal.
He was discussed on the latest Podcast, where the panel said how he should have gone to Arsenal rather than Man U, and how much he would have thrived there. I remember a lot of us on here said the same thing at the time. Arsenal had been without a decent DM for so long it’s ridiculous they have only now found Torrera who is doing so well for them.
