I have been chatting to the Arsenal mods and we have all agreed to a fresh start. This will have little affect on the vast majority who just enjoy the banterbut it could affect the visitors from other clubs, all are welcome. No post will be deleted because you are not an Arsenal fan or indeed you are the fan of a particular club. Banter and debate are welcome all we ask is that you respect your fellow football fans. We all know the line and we all know when we cross it, I just dont accept we dont. Just think about what you write and how you write it, wuming can be very funny and its part of football life. It can also be offensive and upsetting, lets keep it on the funny side. The last thing is swearing, just because we can does not mean we have to do it. Swearing does not bother me one bit but I am aware it does bother others so I try to tone it down, seems fair to me. The down side of all of this is that it must be a 2 way thing, we are trying our best and ask you to do the same. Hope you agree thats fair, enjoy your forum.
The biggest problem at the moment is actually the current mod's. The "milk monitor" effect of every board having a "Hey everyone i'm a mod" thread and "I think we should do x, y and z" JUST ****ING DO IT. You have a swear filter, very good idea and feature, so stop talking about the amount of swearing. Its very simple for those who don't like swearing. You need to keep numbers up and that is THE simplest thing at the moment, but it won't be long before this advantage is lost. There's one simple thing that bring's people to a forum, and talking about what you might do is the opposite to it. I doubt anyone on these forum's is even aware of one of the largest and original forum's on the internet Pir8, and why exactly it brought so many people in and eventually into prison.
