One good thing about your trip Woody.....if you need directions just look out for any of the 8,000 police being deployed in Paris tommorow.......I’m sure they’ll be happy to assist
Booking a restaurant will be easy there is a good one on top of the pompedeau centre with great views
Woody Closed this weekend: Louvre Eiffel Tower Arc de Triomphe Champs Élysée Opera Garnier Musée d’Orsay Bastille Opera Grand Palais Parc de Princes Looks like all the churches - Notre Dame, Sacre Couer are open, as is Pompidou centre and all of the other museums and gardens, Pere Lachaise cemetery, Bois du Boulogne. Weather looks a bit changeable though. I’m sure you will have a lovely time with the family.
You lovely people, thank you all for your replies, thoughtful advice and good wishes. Our little hotel is great, everyone we've met so far have been hugely welcoming and friendly. Lots of boarded up shop windows now and people starting to gather. I've been trying to persuade my wife and kids that we should join in and go looting, but they're wimps, so we'll head up to sacre coeur for starters. Thanks you all, nice weekends all round.
If your family are good with new food try one of the many excellent Vietnamese restaurants - a brilliant blend of Asian and French. I’m sure the hotel will know a good one.
Enjoy Woody......joking aside, stay safe and enjoy your family weekend. Sure you’ll be able to avoid trouble....if not I’ll buy any looted goods from you
Brilliant stuff it is get in there great to see albeit with a sickly tone of UK drama in the way we get it reported This is what England needs a bit of passion
