Thank you. I was going to add it as a comment on one of the other many Christmas themed threads but I thought this debate needed to be opened up to a wider audience. I take it you voted for a real tree. The assumption being made after seeing only two votes, one of which was mine, and I can be fairly certain that some people would not have taken the time to vote.

when mine were wee they used to cling onto the middle of the tree and just hang there. Wee arseholes. They haven’t even looked at the tree this year. Glad they’re older.
Got a real one with roots outside in a bucket of water, hoping it will live when I plant it in the new year.
I did that a few years ago, left it in the bark round the side of my house after Xmas, the roots got through the pot and basically had reached about 6mtrs away from the pot in the space of about 4 months. Moral of the story, plant it asap or the fker will try and put its roots down wherever it can. My tree is dead now as I left it in the bushes next to my work and the cleny took it away (or Roma - not sure)
Roma stealing swans from Queen’s Park pond is becoming a Christmas tradition these days. Don’t think they know yer no allowed to it. Easy mistake to make.
