So i was wondering about who are the top ten players in the world and my list was

in order

Messi - reason for being top is, well hes Messi, great finisher, great passer, very skillful, the best all round player in a long time.

Ronaldo - Well hes the goalscoring machine that is ronaldo - in 92 apps for real madrid he has scored 90 goals and recieved 25 assists. Pace, stamina, strength, finishing, heading hes perfect at all.

Xavi - the perfect playmaker, anymore need be said?

inesta - Great passer, great control of the ball, he alongside xavi are the perfect CMs

wayne rooney - Some people will say he doesnt deserve to be 5th in the world, but i could argue he has a change at being higher still, great goalscorer and truly is uniteds talisman one of the best all round strikers in the world.

David villa No more need be said than hes by far and away one of the best strikers in the world at present.

Sniedjer - What can you say? he could possibly get into any team in the world ( not sure about barca ) and is one of the top players in the world at present time.

Fabregas - the next xavi? time will tell but hes already a truly world class playmaker.

Ozil -Great playmaker, good crosser, good finisher, great control of the ball ozil is definately in my opinion one of the top playmakers at the moment, and at such a young age.

Vidic - Brick wall of a defense, he does sometimes make some crucial mistakes but at the same time he makes so many more crucial tackles, the best deffender in the world at present time in my opinion.

And this is how I'd rate them in the new Fifa.

Messi 94.
Ronaldo 93.
Xavi 90.
Inesta 89.
Wayne rooney 89.
david villa 88.
Sniedjer 88.
Fabregas 87.
Ozil 86-87.
Vidic - 89.

So if you think im missing someone from the top ten best players or disagree with my ratings, post your opinions. XD

How can you take that list seriously when it doesn't contain Nyron Nosworthy? <doh>

Vidic is a no no from me. anticipation he was absolutly abominable endure division and if he'd got the 5 or so red cards he adapted again so would anybody abroad

Ronaldo would be rated higher than Messi as his all round attributes are better (he's bigger, quicker, stronger, better in the air etc) and I'd have Rooney over Xavi and Iniesta. Gerrard would be in that list too as would Silva, Ozil isn't all he's cracked up to be, he shouldn't really make Real's first XI. When fit, mine would be:

Ronaldo
Messi
Rooney
Aguero
Tevez
Iniesta
Gerrard
Torres
Silva
Fabregas

Wait... what? Gerrard has hardly played a game last season, and done very little special at all, so you can't say he's in the top 10 in the world right now. As for Torres... For a striker a goal every 0.05 games is rather impressive...ly bad.

I'd go with... in order...

Messi
Ronaldo
Iniesta
Xavi
Tevez
Sneijder
Rooney
Pique
Alves
Fabregas

I did say when fit - to me Gerrard is the best all round midfielder this country has produced in years and Torres is the best striker in the world when on form. I wouldn't really argue with your list other than Pique and Sneijder. Pique a decent defender and has had a good few years but he couldn't get near ManUre's first team, people like Jonny Evans and Wes Brown were getting picked ahead of him. The style of La Liga obviously suits him better, playing along side Puyol hasn't harmed him either of course! Sneijder is a lazy cheating little **** and is one of the most overrated players in the world. He is still a brilliant player but the way everyone tosses off over him is a little OTT in my opinion.

Shola Ameobi - Despite having the ability to play regular Champions League football he has chosen to stay loyal to his hometown club. He has terrified the Barcelona defence with his blistering pace and strength and has scored twice as many goals in Europe as the much-hyped Tevez. Even after a string of injuries and hip trouble, Ameobi has played on with a mixture of tablets, injections and facemasks, he is near-unstoppable. 70 career goals and counting along with his disruptive physicality that creates opportunities for his teammates.

Fabricio Coloccini - The man who has given such great service to NUFC that he has been given the key to the city's chastity belts. Fully established in an excellent Argentina team, Coloccini's continental style has impressed pundits and opponents alike. A regular for both Deportivo and Newcastle, he has established himself as one of the top defenders in the world. His hair is really nice too.

Grant Holt - With a scoring record better than 1 in 2 for Rochdale, Shrewsbury and Norwich, Holt has shown he is one to watch on the international scene. 53 goals over the past two seasons, Holt looks set to compete for the golden boot this season ahead of more 'flash' strikers such as the aging Drogba and the balding Rooney. His physical presence has dragged Norwich into the top flight and with better service, his potential is terrifying. He would be a great asset for Barcelona.

Nicolas Anelka - Often in the shadow of teammates, Anelka is an understated striker who has scored with fantastic regularity for no fewer than NINE clubs. With 211career goals (123 in the EPL) he is the only player currently active capable of breaking into the top 5 alltime top scorers list for the league. His sulking abilities have inspired many young French players to throw their hands in the air and swear when someone misplaces a pass and then demand a transfer [see Charles N'Zogbia].

Matty Pattison - Affectionately known as 'fatty fattison', Pattison is an up and coming South African winger who, having established himself as a regular on the Newcastle United bench under Glenn Roeder decided to follow his manager to Norwich City. His playing style brought a breath of fresh air to the game as a slow winger capable of drifting into the middle of the pitch and doing something or other. With the South African world cup upsoming, Pattison again decided to leave his club this time for his home country and signed for Mamelodi Sundowns for an 'undisclosed fee' (rumoured to be ~£14m) where he has equalled his impressive scoring record at Norwich of 3. He has two international caps, more than a lot of people.

Lionel Messi - Labelled 'the white Shola', Messi has somewhat flown under the radar playing for Spanish side Barcelona, scoring 100 goals in the last two seasons. That's pretty good! Unlike his hero however, he has yet to open his scoring account for NUFC though should his reasonable form continue, he may be given a chance as Newcastle look for a cheap replacement for Shefki Kuqi.

Brian McFadden - Irish singer and general allround goodguy, McFadden has enjoyed spells as presenter of Australia's Football Superstar where he showed contenstants his kicky-up skills and is also a regular in celebrity football matches. A powerful flair player, he can play in a number of positions, usually upfront with a microphone in front of him. A modest man whose engagement with Delta Goodrem was called off due to gayness, McFadden remains a free agent yet to be capped by his country. Whilst his scoring record is unknown, he has been seen doing an overhead kick and it nearly went in. Then again, that might have been Robbie Williams, I can't remember...

Michael Essien - Though he has suffered with injury lately, Essien has been the real driving force behind Chelsea's rise to the top of the EPL table. He's a tireless midfielder with excellent timing in his tackles and impressive physical prowess and not only covers his back four but allows Lampard to go walkabout thanks to his spacial awareness. A star for Ghana, he is one of the finest African players ever to grace the game and has the ability to silence even the trickiest opponent.

Steve Harper - A fine example of loyalty in the modern game of backstabbing, money hungry arseholes pretending to love their club then leaving, Harper has patiently waited for his turn to play ahead of Shay Given but in that time has been probably the strongest backup keeper of his generation, arguably passing up the opportunity of being David Seaman's successor for England in the process. After enjoying a solid run of games, Harper is now behind Tim Krul in the rankings but despite his lack of luck, he is still probably the most reliable deputy in the world.

Christiano Ronaldo - He's good at scoring goals even if he is a nob.

He's not on there yet but Eden Hazard will make that top 10 in world list soon.

Been watching the kid since he was 16 as many friends in Belgium told me he had something special as a player.

Yeah. Remember you mentioning him a few years ago on the old 606... well before I'd heard of him at least.

Does seem to be coming along nicely. Will remember to give you a nod if he does. <ok>

Where is Ronaldo in the big matches?

Messi
Xavi
Iniesta
Ronaldo
Villa
Fabregas
Rooney
Higuain
Pique
Puyol

(Seems like Barca with a few others thrown in)
(Well actually it is, but Spain and Barca are the 2 best teams, and they are the reason why)

Thiago is one for the future men, the new Xavi imho

Steviemac14 - Ronaldo quicker than Messi? Is that personal opinion or is there a solid case?

Interesting to find out, but I would put money on Messi being faster on the ball. Actually incomprehensable how good that man is. Run through an entire team, you pick the team, anyone. Just so much control and speed it's scary.

I genuinely do not see why he shoots at goal. He has no problem running around a keeper, should just walk it in. lol Not even over-hyping for a laugh, Messi is unstoppable.

My list btw: (in order)

Messi
Me
Ronaldinho
David Villa
Ronaldo
Xavi
Tevez
Gerrard
Klose
Van Persie (without injuries)

Where is Ronaldo in the big matches?

Scoring goals and winning them? He's ****e for Portugal coz he is in a **** team, Messi is in a good team but is still average for Argentina, same with Rooney for England.

Steviemac14 - Ronaldo quicker than Messi? Is that personal opinion or is there a solid case?

Just an opinion mate but I've never seen a quicker player than Ronaldo, he's like lightning. Also he's much taller than Messi so I would imagine his steps are much bigger. Either way they're both amazing, along with Zidane and of course Beardsley they are the best I've seen by miles.

Too much bias towards midfielders and attackers. Defending is an art form if you ask me and my favourite all time player is a defender (Franco Baresi). Therefore I think you must include at least one or two because they are very important. Its like when they used to do the top ten players in the PL when Schmeichel was about. He'd never be in but probably won Man U as many games as Cantona. So Vidic is in their for me along with probably Maicon and Pique.

(Just to note we now have Maicons back up playing for us (even if it is on the wrong side), not bad!
