The Kingdom of Great Britain was formed by the unions with Scotland and Wales. Then in 1800 the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland was formed.

Northern Ireland wasn’t even created until 1921. It has no history of being a country.
So it has 97years of Nothing ? thought that might be history, what is it a black hole ?<doh>

But some of the stated aims of Brexit are in contradiction depending on the out. So people were told if they vote for one thing they’d get something and now they won’t. Therefore once the deal is decided it’s the democratic choice to let them decide if the reality of Brexit is what they actually want.

Not that a second vote will be your or my choice it will be down to parliament who I know your keen on taking back control.
No one was promised anything only out, didn't you remainers read your ballot papers <doh> that's the problem, thick remain had no idea what they voted for.

If you're against Theresa May signing the UN migration compact, please sign the petition below.

Incidentally, if I've read it right, and once they've sorted Brexit out, we'll have control of our borders, however, while some say the UN Migration compact is not legally binding, it will override our decisions, and control of our own borders.

Theresa May knows exactly what she's doing in her attempt to destroy the UK, but she seems to think the people are idiots, such are many politicians.

I don’t know enough about this to comment, or vote. it would be interesting to know more.

It’s not an international treaty so It’s not legally binding, but it is obviously intended to have an effect. Some criticisms I’ve read include:
- it muddled legal and illegal migration, it muddled economic and humanitarian migration
- interferes with freedom of press to publish anti migrant comments

If anyone really understands it I’d be interested to hear about it.

Northern Ireland, unlike the others, has no history of being a independent nation or country. It’s often called a province as in the province of Ulster but even that is a troubled description as three of the counties are part of Ireland.

Northern Ireland became Northern Ireland after Ireland voted in 1921 for home rule and a split from the UK.

The vote left out Northern Ireland because the 6 states wanted to stay connected to the UK, they believed they'd be better off, and they were right.

The Republic of Ireland / Eire became a country in their own right in 1937 after formerly being known as the Irish free state..

Once Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland split, Northern Ireland became a country and part of GB and the UK. Northern Ireland has been known as Northern Ireland (Northern Ui Neill) since around 1014.

May's been a very naughty witch trying to do under the table deals with other MPs.

Considering just about everyone now are against Mays deal, and she's dafter than a brush not to understand that, all things point to May working for the EU, and not the British people.

With the Nationalists rising through Europe, and the World, which includes UK, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Italy, and now Bulgaria and France it seems, and Germany's nationalists are rising rapidly, more and more countries are slowly turning against the EU, and knocking a few more bricks out the EU wall.

I have just watched our news (Oz) and a report on the UK Parliament being found in contempt. One speaker, I imagine a Labour member, said that it was bad enough that the government was found to be in contempt of the parliament, but so much more serious for it to be in contempt of the people. Well
said, I thought.

I kind of said all of that in my posts apart from the bit where Northern Ireland became a country because that never formally happened.

Northern Ui Neill bears only a slight resemblance to Northern Ireland as it was based on the west coast.
